When you introduce yourself to other parent's, how do you refer to yourself?

Are you your child's father, dad, daddy, or mom, mother, mama?

Typically, I say something like...

Hi! I'm Laura, so and so's mother.

Pretty much the same.

Except my name isn't Laura...
And I'm not a mother...

I say "Hi, I'm (insert first name). I'm (insert child's name) dad."

I usually say -

Hi, nice to meet you... I am Stefanie - I am ____'s mom.

"I'm Cathryn, Danny's Mom" or "Im Cathryn, Joey's Mom"

I had a dad call me last night - he said "This is Mr _______, Jeremy's Dad" I thought it was kinda weird. He's about the same age as me. :confused3

Is the referential title you introduce yourself as the same one your child(ren) call you?

My father always introduced himself as ____'s daddy, but I never called him daddy. He was always Dad.

I say "Hi, I'm Lisa xxxx, DS/DD's name's mom."

In fact, the first time we visited our current church, I introduced myself to the pastor that way (DS had already introduced himself), and my pastor said "Hi, I'm Mark. I'm Casey's (DS's name) pastor."

Same age but apparently pretty formal. :rotfl2:

I say, "I'm Amy Lastname, Caitlin's mom." DD and I have different last names so I try to avoid some of the confusion this causes. DD introduces DH (her stepfather) as "This is my Alex." Like everyone has one, he just happens to be hers. :teeth:

Oh, I have to do that too...

Im Cathryn (last name), Danny (last name's) mom.

I just left that part out. :lmao:

My older son now calls me Dad most of the time instead of Daddy. Now that he's a "big kid" (he's 6 :teeth: ). My youngest calls me Dada :goodvibes :goodvibes

But like others, I'll introduce myself with, "Hi, I'm Steve, Cameron's Dad" :)

My kids all call me Dad. Never have they called me daddy or dada.
And I reference myself as ______'s Dad.

well I guess it would depend if their behaving or not;) If they are their mine, if they aren't they belong to Dad. :teeth:

My dh is forever doing that. Drives me crazy! I use the same approach as you, Hi I'm Mary _____'s mom.
