Hello All. I've been lurking forever and decided to come out of hiding.
First time I ever went to the Fort was in 2000 with our new Itasca Horizon and a 10-month old DD, and of course, DH.....and I was hooked. Since then, we've been countless times and I can honestly say that everytime we've gone under that magical sign, I still feel like a kid again.
10 years later, we sadly had to sell the our beloved MH last year. Our family is now myself, DH DD10, DD9 and our OOPS bundle of joy DS1. We were at the cabins for our first non-site experience July 4th weekend, and even though they were amazing....it's just not the same type of experience.
While it may take us another year or so to find another MH, we're going to stay at the cabins and sites and probably rent RVs for the next 18 or so months so that we can enjoy the true Fort experience. DH thinks I'm nuts, but we just renewed our passes and I've booked --
October 15-17 - Cabins
Thanksgiving 2010 - Trying to see if we can get a discount on a cabin
December 10-12 - WL
March 12-18 - Site (Rent an RV)
Thanksgiving Week 2011 - Site (Rent an RV)
Hope it's okay to join this group until we're official MH owners again! We are too excited about showing our newest mouseketeer the Magic that the girls have been able to experience since they were his age. Thanks to you all for the invaluable information I've gained thus far in the past few months! It's amazing that no matter how many times you've been.....there's still something new to look forward to!!!
