I went to college in Carthage - back when Robert Morris was there. I live somewhat near Galesburg now. Maybe an hour and a half - two hours away from you.

Galesburg!! Looking Forward to a trip to The Calico Cat if it is still there!

Oh gosh - put me on the spot! I think Calico Cat is still there - I don't do the shops on Seminary very often - sometimes at Christmastime when I'm having trouble finding something (usually for my mother) I'll try them. They do have a store called Toys and Teachers (or something like that) my son goes to all the time (he's studying to be an Elementary Teacher)

I am really looking forward to my visit to Biggsville in July

For the last several years (15 or more) my husband's uncle has owned the bowling alley/restaurant at Biggsville - Country Fun. They sold it within the last year. We didn't get over there often, but always enjoyed it when we did.

Robert Morris still has an office here- our babysitter works there. The campus has been bought by a local company and is being remodeled for several different purposes. We have been in Galesburg a lot lately- our son just got tubes in his ears and we had to go to a doctor there.


I didn't know there were so many people from our area on the boards! We'll have to have an Illinois meet sometime!

An Illinois meet would be awesome. Tomorrow morning, I'll be in Woodhull. Since I was going to be so close to Galesburg, I was thinking of checking out Seminary Street - Haven't been there in quite a while. Last time I was there I found a Jackson Pollock style Mickey Mouse coffee mug at a cute little coffee/gift shop.
