Sounds like someone should have gone back to POP by themself for the evening! Sorry to hear about the attitude, I know how much planning and thought you put into this vacation.

I keep meaning to PM you becauase I don't know how to get into the new Enchanted site with my old user name.

I almost told her to just go back to Pop, but was trying to be nice. She has talked to us on the phone once and text 4 times since we got home, Bill is really sad about it. And the Poly day wasn't the worst one.

That really stinks that she was being difficuly and that you have hardly talked to her since you have been back!

Just an FYI, if you ever want to take someone to Disney again I'm your gal! I'll do whatever you tell me. It doesn't even sound like you were running her ragged(sp?). I don't understand. Great updates though.

Thanks. I told Bill the other day we should have taken and Enchanter or DISer with us, then we would have had no issues. No we weren't running her ragged, she was having a smoke break every 20 minutes, I am not exaggerating.

Oct. 23rd: Epcot Day 2

Goals for this day:

Soarin for FP

Nemo Clam mobiles

Talk Turtle with Crush

Aquariums

Test Track (we are going to the practice vehicle and see if we can get Bill into it)

Ellen’s Energy (ohhh a 45 minute nap , I am excited!! j/k, I actually think it is kinda cute)

Spaceship Earth (if we didn’t do it on the 19th)

Exploring the World Showcase (we will do this more in depth later in the week)


Halleluiah, we made it close to rope drop!! We decided to try Test Track first, we were all the way past Innovations looking at the tip board over by Test Tracand the wait times were nil for Test Track and Soarin’, Amy suggested we go to Soarin first. I let her know it was on the other side of Future World and by the time we got there the wait times would be longer.

We were right in front of Test Track so that is where we went. It was essentially a walk on. The CM informed us we could load from a different location where we wouldn’t be stepping down into the ride vehicle. We opted to do that. Bill had to go up in an elevator and we took the stairs to meet him. They had a booster type cushion seat for Bill. We put him in the middle of the front seat. Amy was on the passenger side, I was on the “drivers” side.

Let me tell you we loved it, but you wouldn’t have thought that during the first ride, Bill looked as white as a sheet and scared especially when we were outside gaining speed. After it was over they asked us if we wanted to ride again, I wasn’t sure Bill would want to, but he was all for it!!

We then headed over to the Land Pavilion. We got fastpasses for Soarin’, then headed to Living with the Land. It was a walk on as usual. I had to take pictures as always.

There were no pumpkins “earning their ears”, that bummed me out.
After that we decided to eat lunch at Sunshine Seasons. Bill and I had never eaten here before, but now we love it!! Amy and I got sandwiches:

Bill got the pork chop, it was HUGE:

I got a fruit cup:

Bill got the Key Lime Pie:

It was time to try Soarin’ for the first time:

We got front row so that it would be easier to transfer Bill. It kind of freaked us out on the take off, it looks like your feet will hit the railing, but we loved it. For both of us it was so freeing. I loved the look of wonder on Bill’s face, it is one of my favorite memories.

Time to head over to the Living Seas:

We went on the clam mobiles, Bill adores Amy, I asked her to ride with him, she insisted that I ride with him, this seemed to upset Bill a little.

We decided to do Talk Turtle with Crush, while we were waiting for the show Amy went to smoke. They then led us to the location where they take the wheelchairs to enter. We ended up towards the front on the left. Crush made an announcement that we should get to know the person next to us and Amy and I didn’t do anything. WE GOT BUSTED, he called us out and told us to do it. I was cracking up. Then we went to see the dolphin exhibition, we loved it as usual.

Now here is where my TR skills went bad, I didn’t take notes here. I know we ended up at the Wilderness Lodge for dinner, but don’t remember if we took a direct bus or what?

I had discussed all our restaurant choices with Amy before the trip, had given her links for AllEars, had also given her an extra PassPorter I had. I guess she was just tired when we got to the Wilderness Lodge because when we checked in to Whispering Canyon Café we had to wait for a table and we sat in the area next to the Lincoln Logs. She kept stating that the restaurant was named wrong because it wasn’t quiet there at all?? The kids at the Lincoln Logs table seemed to annoy her too.

Bill was so hungry he attempted to eat the buzzer:

We got seated, all got drinks, then Amy got a couple blackberry vodka shots? Not sure if that was the flavor or not. She still didn’t like how loud it was, was not happy about all the kids etc. I said we are in DISNEY WORLD!! I could tell Bill was getting more and more upset, maybe we had just run her into the ground at that point I don’t know, but she was clearly complaining and not happy about anything.

I wanted it over asap. When the bill came Amy couldn’t believe the price of the alcohol, again I said “we are in Disney, nothing is cheap”.
She went to go smoke, Bill and I walked slowly to the bus stop. It was drizzling. I love the theming of the soda machines:

One bus came, said they couldn’t load Bill but would call another bus. The other bus came, but he told me to just take the Magic Kingdom bus then transfer, his bus had “Remy” I asked him what that meant, he said that meant he was going off duty. I think he had been diverted to pick us up but he didn’t want to. Then another bus pulled up. We got back to the room and there was an informational flyer telling us that the power was going to go off for a couple of hours that night. Amy asked what time we were getting up, I said early. She said if she was up, she was up. We took that to mean she might join us she might not. We told her what time the reservation was for lunch at Mama Melrose’s. I said I was going to call for a wake up call.

On our last vacation together it was clear that it should be our last vacation together...but we didn't let it ruin our friendship. It sounds like Amy doesn't get that, or she's really embrassed about her behavior.

I think she is embarrassed about her behavior, I think she know she acted badly.

The smoking did make me PO'd, we almost didn't get into Nemo because of it, I wanted to go in Bill wanted us to wait for her. It did cause some stress between Bill and I.

Sadly, I can't load Bill by myself into Test Track. I picked him up out of the wheelchair while Amy was already standing up in the "car". I handed him off to her then she set him in the seat.

We are talking about taking my son back at some point, we will see.

Aww Tracy! I hate that her poor attitude was bringing the two of you down. You worked so hard - it's just not right! Was your trip for Super Soap Week better a couple weeks later? I hope so. Can you include that trip in this report, or were you planning on writing another one?

Thank you so much. I did have a grip on Bill didn't I? We already had our do over trip 17 days after this one. We went for Super Soap Weekend and if people aren't already sick of us I will do a TR for that one.

Oh writing a separate one, a fresh new, stress free Disney loving, fun time one !!! With Bill's Cerebral Palsy he has bad balance issues, so I grab on to him tight .

I have the TR done in word so every day or two there will be a new installment.

I also have a Christmas TR I am starting tonight on Enchanted in the "Enchanted Occasions" under the "Celebrations Reports" if anyone is interested.

I am so sorry things with Amy turned out like that. What a huge disappointment to you and Bill. It's just heart-hurting when friendships have rifts like that...and I am sure she feels it, too. Like you said, embarrassed by her behavior. I hope there is some way to repair it, that she finds a way to reach out to you two.

But I am so happy that you guys got to try out some new rides! TT & Soarin' are both awesome!! I love how you were holding Bill down so tight! I am sorry you had another day with an attitude. I know how much you worked on trying to make the trip perfect and then you got so much attittude.

On a side note the pictures from TT were great! Y'all were really holding Bill down and I understand why especially when you really get the speed up and go around the curve! I am so happy that you got to experience so many fun rides this trip.

As for a TR for SWW we will never get sick of you or your TR so I hope you post it!!!!
