Intramural Sports

So I was just kinda curious if disney had intramural sports for the CP or in general. I play volleyball alot so i was kinda hoping to play more when i get down there. Thanks for any help!!!!!!

Great question! I'm a volleyball player as well and I know I've seen the topic tossed around on the fb groups, so even if there aren't official intramurals there will be plenty of us looking to play. I'm also looking to play tennis down there, so if any guys are looking for a partner this fall (8/17 arrival date) shoot me a message!)

The only official ones are soccer tourney and basketball tourney. But obviously if you could work out scheduling you could use the fields at Mickey's Retreat for softball football frisbee whatever you want.

Actually, there are Volleyball leagues. There are also softball leagues and basketball leagues. I played softball when I was working for Disney. You just have to search around to see if anyone in or around your area plays so they can get you on a team. I'm sure there is also a number you could call to find out about being placed on a team. Just to let you know, though, the leagues usually play at night, so if you have late hours it could be tricky. They definitely have them, though! Disney also has tournaments in basketball, soccer and golf at different times throughout the year for CM's. You'll just have to check around a bit for dates and times

I've played both softball and volleyball through Disney for many years. There is a spring and a fall season for both sports, and both competitive/recreational divisions.

My softball team currently has enough people for this season, but my volleyball captain mentioned that we have enough guys, but could probably use 1 more girl. We play on Tuesday evenings at Mickey's Retreat. Anyone is welcome to send me a PM if you're interested, and I'll pass on the contact info.

This was all they advertised to the CP when I was there.

Just to clarify... the teams are for all CMs, so they are not specific to the CP and are not marketed to the CPs. CPs can definately participate, but that may be why a lot of CPs do not know about them. I didn't know about them during my CP, learned about them on my PI because my office had a couple teams.
