DH and I were talking about our favorite WDW aromas yesterday. We love the chocolate chip cookie scent wafting from The Land pavillion, the awesome aroma of the glazed almonds from that stand on the edge of World Showcase, the incredible smell of a 100% Kona Coffee press pot at the Poly.

What WDW aromas get your mouth watering?

I don't know if there's necessarily a smell associated with this - but the sight of those big rice krispie bars in the Confectionary in MK, or in Downtown Disney, make me drool until I buy one!

Silly as it sounds, I noticed a distinct smell coming from the ASMO food court. Every time we walked by it, going to the bus, I got a whiff of it. One day a few months ago I happened to be at DS's school early in the morning. I think it was taco day, but I got the same smell wafting through the halls and all I could think of was the food court. It brought back great memories....and I really wanted to hop a bus to the MK. ;)

This one's not a food smell, but we always notice the musty, tropical aroma as you enter the Great Ceremonial House at the Polynesian Resort. To us it's like a "welcome back" aroma.

Not sure what it is, but the scent of the Beach Club lobby always brings us home. I think it is a cross between the chlorine/bleach smell from the pool and the flowers in the lobby and grounds.

I'll second the Poly smell! :) No matter where we stay (and lately since we are DVC owners, it's usually at a DVC property) we always have to go eat at 'Ohana while we're there, and I really truly don't feel like we have arrived at WDW until I step into the Polynesian and smell that wonderful scent from their lobby!

We are DVC owners at Boardwalk, and I just love the smell coming from the Flying Fish and Spoodles in the evening! Sometimes you can still smell it in the morning when you walk to the Bakery.

For some reason the HBD always seems to have the most fantastic smell of cooking food around it.

My favorite aroma is that of the AKL lobby, especially at night as the smells from Boma drift up. Soooo yummy.

:p Wolfgang Pucks express by the christmas shop in downtown disney marketplace! The aroma of garlic and wood fired cooking is out of this world. Even if I'm not hungry, but happen to be at the marketplace, I'll go inside and just stand there and take it in. But if I stay too long, I'll wind up ordering a pepperoni pizza anyway.

Just being reminded of the Poly smell, takes me back. Also, 1900 Park Fare has the distinct smell of Ginger and anytime I am out and smell ginger, I dream of GF.

Walking past one of the stores in the CR (the one that they sell chocolate in) I always smell this wonderful smell of chocolate. Being they sell it there I was always under the impression that the smell was "real" cocoa. UNTIL my dh showed me the little chocolate machine on the top of the enterance door. What a great smell & I always think of the CR whenever I smell chocolate....

Got to go with the popcorn smell by the Railroad, can't get by that one without buying some, same thing on the way out.
I have to agree on the tropical smell at the Poly, love it,it makes you feel like you are in paradise.

Ditto! We will be at the Poly in a short 195 days. :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: I can't wait to enter the lobby and feel like I am in the tropics!

I too love the Poly smell--combination of foliage, water and, in the morning, Kona coffee. Can't wait to go back for Kona Cafe and 'Ohana in November.

We bought Kona Coffee to bring home last fall and we still have the empty bag--we occasionally open it for a whiff of "paradise."
