Intimate Wedding Costs

Hiya
I was wondering if someone would be able to help me. I really want to get married at the Wedding Pavillion in 2008. I know its too soon to book and the company I was going to book with wont even have a brochure out till mid 2007 for it. On Disneyweddings - I cant find a price for the intimate I have heard its around $3500 but what does that include?
When I go into the wish book it still says there is a $10000 minimum and I really dont want to spend that amount!
It would be great if someone could give me an idea thanks!
Also any one from the UK used disney weddings to book? If not where did you book your wedding

Do a search for "wedding" on Disney's main website (disney.com and then go to WDW destinations site), and it will link you to a lot of basic information. The price of $3500 is for an intimate wedding and the $10,000 figure is for a custom wedding. The prices vary, depending on which wedding site you choose (Wedding Pavilion is most expensive). Hi and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Wow, 2008, that is a long way off and I feel safe in saying that Disney will likely change the prices and maybe the procedures by then.

The $10,000 minimum is for a Custom wedding during the week. The minimums for Custom weddings go up on Friday, Saturday, and I think Sunday but I don't know for sure.

I was an Intimate and we had what they used to call an "Add-on" wedding since we already have our Disney AP's. I think current Intimate brides have said it's about $3,000 now and all are considered "Add-on" weddings.

When I did it included in the price you got the location, bridal bouquet, groom's bout, standard cake, 1 bottle of champagne, violinist, officiant, and 2 hours of photography, and a wedding coordinator/even manager to hold your hand through the planning and help you the day of your wedding. We got 12 photos that Disney chose and lo-res CD. The photo package has changed and you now get to choose 20 photos yourself.

You will need to contact Disney Fairy Tale Weddings http://www.disneyweddings.go.com/site/gate/index.jsp to book but they won't be able to book this far in advance. If you aren't using the WP I believe you can book a year in advance for the other Intimate locations, 8 months for the WP.

Jen was right about what is included with the package. As for price, the current price of the WP is $3350, and the other locations (Yacht Club, Sunset Pointe, Sea Breeze Point, etc) are $2450. But, I am almost positve the price will increase by 2008.

Our wedding is at the Yacht Club for $2450 and that is the basic wedding package. You still have to book hotel, park tickets, dinner or 'reception' at an additional cost. I believe you (the bride & groom) also have to stay a minimum of 4 nights, but I am not 100% sure b/c that's how long we were planning on staying no matter what and my parents just added on another day for us! Good luck with the planning. Oh yeah, the Wedding Pavillion is more, I think about $3200.

I have to tell you guys that the prices are great. Considering I was an intimate bride in 1997 and the prices are about the same!!! We got married at the Wilderness Lodge... unfortunately he became a violent maniac and I divorced him...now that was a few years ago...I'm now engaged again and planning a wedding on the beach and a Disney Honeymoon Congrats to all of you!

Although the prices haven't changed too much, what is included for the price has changed. I believe they used to include hotel, tickets, and a nice dinner for the couple...plus an officiant. Now, you get the location, photography, musician, bouquet, bout, and limo.

Oh, so the officiant is no longer included? That seems like a silly thing to change. I wonder how much they charge for the Intimate ceremony?

Just curious, if anyone knows, I thought I saw that the cost of an Intimate now is for 4 guests and you have to pay extra for each guest over 4, up to 18 max, is that true or did I read it wrong? Sometimes I see something and then realize I didn't see what I thought I saw When we booked it would have been $100 per person over 8 guests, 10 max. Just wondering

The intimate wedding is now the same base price for up to 18 guests (8 guests for WL and Poly). You only need to pay for extra champagne. They got rid of the $100 extra per person charge. Since you were at the WL, you still would have been limited to 8. Hope that helps!

Thanks! That totally cleared up my confusion. That's great that they eliminated the $100 per person charge. $100 seemed like a lot for a piece of cake and glass of champagne! Yeah, WL is a small location, perfect for us, but too small for lots of couples.

Rev. Jack Day has quoted some intimates $150--although he quoted me $175 for our vow renewal. Not sure why that is more, but I understand that he is well worth the money, so we booked him anyway!

thanks guys for all the information - I really have my heart set on the WP as we were leaving MK last year we said we would (we had just got engaged) as we went past it. I was kinda considering the WL but It seems there are going to be more people now so WP is probably going to be the best bet (because of the 8 max people.)- I jsut cant wait to get back to Disney! I wish I was going tomorrow all this talk about it just makes me wish it was sooner than 2008!
