Need some suggestions and thought my fellow DISers could help!

We're getting married at noon at the Gazebo. Since we'll be staying at the YC (we sucked it up and paid the extra expense; you only get married once, right?), we won't need our limo servce. We'd like to use it to transport everyone to our lunch "reception" (really, just a lunch where I can show off my wedding dress). Any suggestions on where to go? We'll likely be done around 1:30. A lot of the places I've seen mentioned on this board (1900 Park Fare, Citricos, some other steak houses, etc.) are only open for dinner.

I would just wait a few hours and have dinner, but we're going to have our MK photo shoot that morning, then have the ceremony, then go to lunch. I'm sure I'll be pooped by the end of the afternoon and won't want to have to sit around with nothing to do for 4 hours until it's suppertime.

Any suggestions for a yummy (nice) lunch place? Thanks!

I had my lunch reception at the Portobello Yacht Club in DTD. The food was great as well as the service. They seated us in a section that was all to ourselves, I wouldn't say it was a private room they just did not sit anyone in the area. They also printed us menus without the pricing on it and our names on the top.

What type of menu do you want? The luncheon menu at several places (GF Cafe, Kona Cafe, Concourse Steakhouse) tends to be more sandwich oriented. There is a very nice buffet lunch at Fresh at the Dolphin, but I'm not sure what type of seating you would be able to have. We ate breakfast there and it was a bit crowded. The food was excellent and very reasonable for the variety and quality.

Some of the restaurants at DTD might have a more extensive menu for lunch. You might want to check out menus here:

you could look into the attic (private room) at the boardwalk or garden grove cafe at the swan or one of lounges at the yacht/beach club.

since you have transportation you could also look at the other resorts around disney. i would look into the garden view lounge where they have afternoon tea at the grand floridian, its such a pretty room & the food is fancy & good.
