We are having our intimate wedding at the Boardwalk, but we (my DF and I and all of our guest) are staying at Coronado Springs. If we had the limo take everyone to the ceremony and then to eat and them back to Coronado, how much would we have to pay for the extra time -- since I am sure it will be more than the 4 hours? Has anyone had any experience with this? How did you transport all of your guests around for your intimate wedding??

We paid around 75 an hour for each additional hour of Limo service. I believe that even with a full lunch served after our wedding we only ended up paying for one additional hour. Hope this helps.

We used the limo the night after our Intimate to take DH and me to dinner in EPCOT and then to PI. We had to run back to the WL after dinner to drop off the umbrella we had brought (it was threatening rain but I didn't want to carry it at PI) and as if to warn us, our driver said "you only have me for 4 hours" and said it would be $75/hour over the 4 hour limit but I don't know if that means it's $75 if you go over just 15 minutes or 60 minutes? We stayed just under the 4 hours.

Another option is to use a town car for the 2 of you & cabs for you guests. We did this for DD (melmel's) wedding. The limo picked up the groom & his family at 2PM & the bride & family at 2:30 The wedding at sunset point was at 3PM. The limo then took the guests over to the restaurant then came back for Melissa & Joe who were having their pictures done. We had dinner at Yachtsman at 5:30 & finished up about 8PM. So it would have gone well over the 4 hour limit. We found that a less expensive option was to order a town car for bride & groom for $21 one way for the trip back to their resort. Their EM arranged it for them. The guests took a van-cab. You can have bell service request a van from the cab company & it costs the same as a regular cab. It took Joe's whole family (6 people) for about $15. It was much cheaper than paying for the extra hours for the limo driver to do nothing but wait.

Thanks everyone for all the info!!! It is so much easier to get help here-- rather than trying to get a hold of my planner!! Thanks again!

This is what my EM emailed me regarding the limo.
Our intimate reception is at AA parlor at Epcot.
Here is the situation - I can not book a cab in advance or get them backstage access to pick up your group. To get a cab you would need to walk to the main entrance of Epcot, which you can not do in your wedding attire. You will need some sort of transport from Epcot to the resorts unless you decide not to wear your wedding dress, then you will be able to walk from Epcot to the Yacht Club with your guests. Everyone going to the Caribbean Beach can get a cab at the resort front entrance. Price $134.50 one way, per limo.
Extortionate if you ask me, but this is the price if the event ends later than the 4 hours you have it scheduled for. Otherwise I think it is $73 per hour after your 4 hours are up.

Janine--

What kind of intimate reception are u having???? We are still trying to figure out what we are going to do. I would really love to have something other than just dinner amongst other people at a restaurant.

We had our intimate wedding and dinner reception in October 2005. Our party was close to 20 individuals so I realized that it was cheaper to book the town car transfers at a cost of $21.00. So, the 1 limo was used in three (3) different trips to get us all to the ceremony site.

-------LIMO----
TO CEREMONY:

First trip = Groom's mother and brother, as they were staying at another Disney hotel.
Second trip = Groom, Groom's father, Groom's step-mother, our son and nephew.
Third trip = Bride, Bride's father, mother , 2 sisters, niece and daughter.

Remaining guests rode with a family member who drove up from Tampa.

TO RESTAURANT

After we had taken most of the wedding pics (including all of the ones with our family and guests).... The limo started to whisk each family out of the wedding pavillion and to the dinner reception location "O'hana's Restaurant" inside of Disney's Polynesian resort.

-----TOWNCARS---

I booked 5 towncar transfers for each family unit to be picked up from the Polynesian. This cost us $105.00 total and each car had 2 - 4 people/kids, which returned everyone to their respective Disney hotel.

Hope this helps! :wave2:

I have been trying to figure out our transportation situation as well. I may try the town car option. We are having our ceremony at 2:00 PM. The reception dinner is at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. After dinner I need to get all of us back to the Polynesian for our Wishes cruise. So the town car might work for us too :goodvibes
