Intimate Brides & Magical Gathering

I was wondering if any intimate brides looked into the magical gathering. I saw some of the events you can hold, like a safari breakfast at AK. I heard can even use the Dining plan for payment. I know the wedding only includes the ceremony, so could go through magical gathering to plan all he other activities?

What I am doing is running everything by my EM first then I kind of go in the direction that she has told me to do. I was going to go with the grand gatherings having everyone stay at the same hotel as DF and me, but I have decided to move people into different directions and have them staying kind of close to us but we are still able to have our privacy too.

We did this. Just know that the activities are fun, but planning through the grand gathering people is a NIGHTMARE. You end up having to plan all extra activities through them.

I asked our EM about this back when we were first starting to plan our DFTW and we were told no, that Disney brides that wanted to have private stuff needed to do a custom wedding to go with it.

We had wanted to do other things besides just the wedding day but my EM seemed to indicate that once our name came up in the computer, we would be referred back to FTW.

Some folks have suggested that we have a family member book the gathering so it wouldn't be under our names, but I am a lousy "sneak" and would mess it up somehow. Plus, I really don't to pretend that my wedding isn't the highlight of the weekend!

Of course, that was in December, and things seem to change by the day, so it may be worth asking again!
