Intestinal distress...

I know this is way TMI but I'm sort of over it. The past 3 trips to the world I have had problems with my digestion. I've noticed it seems to be when I've consumed the tap water (making coffee in the room) or drinking coffee in the quick service. I've been to Disney a lot and this was never a problem before. I'm scared to drink anything except bottled beverages now. I thought the dining halls would use filtered water but I have no idea.

Anyone experienced anything like this. Is it just coincidence? I love having my coffee at Disney but I noticed the only days I didn't get the trots was the days I opted out of coffee.

Well, coffee is known to get this *ahem* moving...so it could just be the coffee. Maybe its just stronger than what you're used to or something?

I would also guess it's the coffee. There are certainly times when we go out to breakfast and I KNOW before we're out the door that I'm going to have what my family calls "free breakfast" (or free lunch, free dinner etc.) I'm pretty sure it's the coffee every time.

Bring some of your own coffee from home this trip and see if that works.

If you need the caffeine, crab a coke and see if that helps. I also have a sensitive stomach and have some tricks to get me through certain situations.

Thanks guys. Those are good suggestions. I just never had it happen before. Maybe it's jofferys. Lol

Do you know how housekeeping cleans the coffee maker in room?

Might want to start there and see if that helps.

Not sure but I know I got coffee from artists pallet and it still happened. I wonder if they use tap water.

Well, that is no fun. I would also guess it is the coffee, as the coffee vendor is likely the same throughout WDW. If you didn't have that issue with iced tea or iced water, I would doubt it is the tap water. I would definitely carry some Immodium (take a blister pack of 4 pills at least) with you wherever you go and avoid the coffee. Stick with bottled caffeinated beverages you have used before without issue. I will say travel tends to add stress to my system and stress is a trigger for IBS so that might also be playing a role. Maybe try iced tea or something as tea tends to have a more calming effect on the digestive system. GL!
