Yes...It is really a comfortable relaxing place, and I have memories of taking trips there when I was much much younger. My girl scout troop would go once a year (this was before typhoon lagoon/BB), it was sort of our big "trip."

No (not from FL), but I went to something similar at the Six Flags near where I grew up.
