Interview the person below you (Part II)

My most favorite place to eat would be the California Grill. The food (especially the filet and sushi) are amazing, the waitstaff has always been so kind and helpful, and the view of MK is amazing. We can't go to Disney without eating there...it is a must do for us.

What is your favorite snack in all of WDW and why?

I don't snack much, but love popcorn. It just tastes so much better there

What is the restaurant you tried and really didn't like? Why?

We finally had dinner at 'Ohana on our last trip (having had breakfast there a couple of times before), and you wouldn't get me to go back there if you paid me. There was absolutely no redeeming value to that meal at all. Well, I guess the bread was good. Aside from that, the food was across-the-board terrible, service was awful, seating for our ADR was painfully late. Yuck. Just yuck.

What is your favorite live action show at WDW?

Nemo Show (sorry you didn't like 'Ohana, we love it)

Do you have any Disney collections? If so, what and how many?

The opening day of Magic Kingdom! It would be great to be one of the first people to step onto Main Street USA and see the Cinderella castle!

Next person...
If you could be a character in an animated Disney movie, who would you be?

Belle - all because of that library!

What's the first thing you think of when you think of a Disney park?

relaxing

my last one was skipped, so trying it again

I collect Disney snow globes. I have 25...and counting. I also collect Mickey Mouse watches. I have 9 right now.

What is the first park and ride you go to when visiting WDW?

depends.......sometimes, we just catch the first bus that comes. We usually arrive later, so often just walk around the park to soak it in

What is your favorite sweet treat?

Resort hopping and maybe a bit of shopping at one of the malls. Then a character ADR so I get to see the Mouse at least once! :-)

What's the most expensive Disney related item you have bought?

Not necessarily unusual, since these are great tips learned on the DIS, but there's two things we always pack for a trip to WDW now that are absolutely invaluable to us:
  • a cheap hanging shoe rack thingie that we hang on the door of our room to hold all the little things that are usually left laying around everywhere, like sunglasses, wallets, cameras, autograph books, kids' small toys, etc. Makes it easy to eliminate clutter AND grab things on the way out the door!
AND
  • a power strip, so that all our cell phone and camera chargers are in one convenient place, rather than in every outlet around the room. Makes it easy to plug things in each evening AND make sure we take them all with us when we check out!

How many days is your ideal WDW vacation? (Not an indefinite period like "can I live there?".....how many days is ideal for you and your family to do what you want to do and not get worn out?

Live their:):):rotfl2::rotfl:

3 weeks is the longest I've ever been but I would probably say 2 and a half because we go to universal and sea world etc.

What is your favourite mode of Disney transportation ( monorail, boat etc.)

boats...........love the boat to and from WL to MK and the one from DtD to OKW and PO

What dining "adventure" would you like to do that you haven't done before?

Someday I'd like to do Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Can't talk DH or DD into it... Maybe I will do a solo trip someday just to go!

How do you budget your trips? What's most important... hotel? Food? Souvenirs? other? WHAT?

DVC, so room is covered. We love to eat out so we get APs and TiW card.
the only thing we really need to think of ahead is the airfare. It is getting pretty high up there.

how far ahead do you typically book trips? Do you do ADRs at 180 days out or wait until closer and hope you can get what you want?

I'm a 9 months to one year ahead vacation booker. I'm far too type-A to wait any longer! And I'm on the ADRs right at my 180+10 day too.

If you were to buy DVC, which resort would you choose as your home resort? Or if you do own, where's your home? Why?

I'm not DVC, but would love to have Kidani as my home resort. Love the theming, the animals, the dark colors, the peaceful, serene feeling I get when there!

If you could add a country to WS, what would it be?

India

When is your next trip, where are you staying and if you have ADRs, where are they?
