Hi :wave2: Love meeting all my DIS family.. I'll start...

have been going to a Disney Amusement park since I was 5 in 1975 ( do the math but please don't say it to loud!!! :lmao: ). No kids just a Bird name Jack the Ripper ( for he rips paper when the lining is already dirty and makes that scritching annoying sound to get your attention.. "Yes woman I need Changing", So now my question is:

Do you have a pet?

I have several pets and their associates:
EPONA -- the "wild" horse that we adopted from the BLM in 2001 --along with Bob Mahoney the Boney Pony. Bob has since grown up and gone on to gainful employment at a local riding stable (we visit often). Epona broke out of her corral in 2003 (while we were at WDW -- oddly enough), visited the NEIGH-bors, got pregnant, and did the whole single-mom thing. We sold her baby Phoebe last spring for a ton of money. Epona and I are now totally bonded (I got to help her when Phoebe was born) so she's here for the long haul. I still might adopt again though -- with the plan to sell after a little basic gentling/training like we did with Bob -- there are so many of these fun little horses available now due the all the wild fires. FYI -- If anybody's ever in the market for a horse -- the BLM's the place to go. You'll get a horse who'll go all day, stays fat on a little bit of grass hay, and be your best buddy all for $125! I tell you, Best deal I ever got from the guvmint.
JO-JO -- the Australian Shepherd that we adopted from the Humane Society. Lotsa fun and LUVS everbody but raises a ruckus when anybody drives up the driveway.
ARLO -- (and associates) a big black tuxedo Tom-cat who moved in several years ago and has moved his family in this Spring. Arlo's sloppy friendly. Mr.s Arlo is quite stand-offish (hisses at me even while I'm filling the food dish fer pitysakes). The 5 little Arlos are cautiously optimistic about future relations. Everybody's going to the vet's as soon as we can figure out how to trap them all.

Well, that was fun and that's it for my pets. What's your hobby??????

I stayed at BW in May, and I'm going in a little over a month at Polynesian. It'll be my mine and my boyfriend's first vacation together! :teeth:

Where did you grow up?

I'll go. I grew up all over the place because my Dad was in the military. I was born in San Diego, CA and stayed there for a year. Then we moved to Peabody, MA for a year and subsequently Chelsea (in Boston), MA for six years. There used to be a naval base along the Mystic River but we were the last family to move off in 1974.

That year we then moved to Yokosuka, Japan where we stayed for another 6 years until I was just shy of 14. Afterwards we moved to Orange Park, FL where Dad was stationed at Jax Naval Air Base. I graduated from h.s. and went to UF my freshman year.

Dad had retired from the Navy that same summer I graduated so the familily moved to upstate NY, namely just outside the thriving metropolis of Schenectady. I ended up transferring to Stony Brook University on Long Island for my sophomore year where I ended up graduating in 1989.

I then moved to Queens, NY and have lived here ever since.

Ok, so my question is what's your favorite movie and why?

OK if I play, Rick? :)

My favorite movie of all time is John Houston's version of Moby Dick. My reason for it being so is that my father, my hero of nearly 40 years, has a Master's Degree in English, and loves the well-written word, considers Melville's Moby Dick to be one of his favorite novels. When I was five years old, he sat me down to watch the movie version for the first time, and took the entire two hours explaining not only the storyline and it's main characters, but the analogous and metaphorical references--both Biblical and allegorical--that made the subtext of the novel so amazing and greatly underappreciated in it's time. He still calls me Starbuck once in a while. :)

It's probably a ridiculous reason for loving a movie, but I think more than for it's cinematic attributes, it's one if the first times in my life I remember just sitting in rapt attention of my father, who (aside from being the first love of my life), is one of the most knowledgeable, patient and fair-minded people I've ever known. Can you tell I adore my dad? ;)

So here's one for you--what one intrinsic quality do you value most in yourself?

My being Blunt... well DPotsie would say am just honest but I preffer the term Blunt.... no excuses... no beating around the bush.... I would ask you point blank, I believe that it is the best way to go to the source and not second guess people. I learn to use the phrase "I have personal question.. excuse me" at a young age... so if you are the recepient of that phrase.. you still have the option to not answer me if you don't feel like it... and I promise I won't pursue it anymore...

Have you ever been to a WDW Gay Day ?

Yep-- and I had to work one as well-- but it was fun! 3:00 Parade setup was a hoot. Much better working on Gay Day than the Night Of Joy!

My Question: Have you ever made out (not sex or anything) in The Haunted Mansion! :stir:

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: Not I!!! I guess I was to consumed watching the guest passing by. Plus from '91 to 97 I have been traveling solo... prior to that all trips were with families... never had a chance  hmmm but who knows in the near  the future!

Who's your favorite Disney Character?

That would HAVE to be Maleficent! Just go up to my studio and you'll find 3 snowglobes, a lighted figurine, a vase, a box, a figural represention, four framed pieces of artwork including one original and a limited edition, and several pins!

So, where is your favorite place to stay on property?

:maleficen + :figment:

Favorite place to stay - Wilderness Lodge, either main lodge or the Villas!

My partner and I stayed their on our 1st trip and fell in love w/ the place! It was his 1st time staying in a "deluxe" style hotel. I walk in trying to play it cool, he walks in and freezes. All I hear is *gasp* <pause> "Wow." The look on his face was priceless, and made me love the Wilderness Lodge all that much more (and him too. )

Okay, my question... What's your favorite place to eat at WDW (parks or resort)?

(Mine's Boma's!) :thumbsup2

I am going to have to say either The California grill or in Germany at Epcot (be it a stand or in a restaurant…just German food) I know kind of different. I love being at the California Grill and my girl loves food so she has a good time and their wine list…… (just watch when you take your Mother in law….she will grab the reserve list and order if you don’t stop her quickly….$600 later…..) And Germany at Epcot just reminds me of my childhood at my Oma and Opa’s house. I always seem to be the only one that ever eats there… the rest of the group usually watches and comments on the fact that it is the only place I actually finish a plate of food.

Ok so now …. Where is your favorite spot in WDW to steal a quick squeeze from your loved on?

To many to mention :woohoo: One of the few: At the Pirates of the Carribean Ride, Dumbo, Noodle House when no one's looking,Philharmagic (DPotsie always get teary eyed with Donald), The Bugs Life... and many more

When is your bday and your favorite color?

My birthday is 10/22/76 (turning 30 this year!)
DP's birthday is 10/19/76

Believe me, I don't let him forget those 3 days either... but I guess I really should respect my elders... :lmao:

As for favorite color.. both of us love blue. My favorite is Midnight Blue, and DP prefers baby blue.

Umm... now my question... Where is your favorite non-Disney vacation spot?

Without a doubt, it is Las Vegas! Though there are many, many other places I have yet to visit that I want to see, such as the whole of Europe!

What are you top 5 favorite songs of all time?

I'll take this one - New York City!!! After WDW, NYC is where we most want to be (next trip in a few weeks). Have great seats for Drowsey Chaparone, Sweeney Todd, and Alter Boys (seeing three shows in two days). It's my partner's 31st birthday and we will be living it up before our big move from Raleigh, NC to Boynton Beach, FL in August (partner is getting Masters degree in Theatre from FAU).

My question - where did you meet your partner/last partner? :cool1:

We met goofing off at work - on, yes, a chat room. Our first date ... he fell asleep on my watching a movie! Our second date found us packing his things up and moving him to my place. Well maybe the third date. This year we celebrated 7 years together, with a legal marriage in MA, Spain and Canada. :) (Alas, it's not a marriage made in Disney. I'm the only Dis fanatic...so always looking for park-mates!)

So... What's your favourite on-property restaurant for an intimate evening? (The Swan & Dolphin count)

That would have to be Jiko (Hi Shellie!) which we'll be visiting with whole family on next Thursday...can we say double Bloody Marys?!

Now, which resort on property have you NOT stayed in and would most like to?

:maleficen :figment:

There's really only one overall that I really want to stay at, AKL... but I'll break it down by category too...

Value: none
Moderates: CSR
Deluxe: Animal Kingdom Lodge (& Grand Floridian)
DVC: all of them! (except BWV - been there done that)

Which resort have you stayed at that you NEVER want to stay at again?

For me... ASMo & POR

Personally, it would be Old Key West. When I stayed there for a week I was shocked at the condition. Dirty carpets. Mold and mildew everywhere, even outside the bathroom. A bug IN the coffeemaker. OKW moved me but the next room wasn't much better.

Regarding your AKL (above) desire ... it is TRES cool. I remember once getting my Florida Resident discount we got rooms with parking lot view for $99...but since they were full, they upgraded us on site to the deluxe savannah view! AWESOME. Now they charge $300+ for parking lot views. My best tip for AKL ... even if you don't pay extra for the savannah view...there are outlook points every 10 rooms or so. So you don't see a giraffe when you roll out of bed...how much extra fun can you buy for the big extra $$?

Jiko is likely my second favourite, next to CA Grill. I love the cheese plate and the firecracker roll up there.

Next question....

What's your favourite "backstage" tour and why?
