Is that literally all summer? I just booked a trade with MS two weeks ago at this resort, and 2Brs were only available at certain periods in July and August (we wanted early August, nothing was available until mid-month).

Availability has apparently changed since you booked a few weeks ago because I can see 2 bedroom availability for early August starting with August 3rd at both Marriott's buildings at Williamsburg - Manor Club and Manor Club Sequel. Availability changes constantly.

A little OT here, but we just stayed at the Williamsburg Marriott Manor's Club this June. One bedroom - not on a trade-in, paid cash. Absolutely loved it. Very nice and quiet. :thumbsup2

Thanks for posting this info.! I assume that you are an II member, correct? Is there any way that I can search as a DVC owner (though not II)? My guess is no, but it is worth asking...

Yes, we are regular II members. There's no way that I know of for a DVC member to search II yet with DVC. If you have something in particular that you're looking for, PM me any time and I'll do a search for you.

I couldn't believe those Maui weeks today - they were for New Years week. I hardly ever see 2 and 3 bedrooms sitting out there for a holiday week on Maui. Maybe it was a late deposit or cancellations. If a person lived in California and could get some decent last minute airfare, they could take their whole family to Maui for the holiday.

Actually that week is a lower demand and comes up more often. Also, weeks for HI come up all the time short notice. For regular II members, this can be a windfall. If DVC changes so that trades within 60 days are reduced fees, this could be a help to DVC members as well.

Boy, I wish DVC would change it to lower points during that 60 day window. It would be a decent deal for a DVC member to be able to get a 2 or 3 bedroom with giving up just studio points to get it. Something that regular Interval members already get (it's called the flex change window and you can usually upgrade in size during short notice travel).

So Dean, you think Christmas week would be a lot more scarce than New Years week for availability?

Love that flexchange window! That's what enabled me to get the value out of my other timeshare to call it even at the end of the day.

I think the week that spans the time between xmas and NY is very high demand and the week after not nearly so much. But it will vary with the calendars and what day of the week they fall on to a degree.
