This is a very specific question.

I've traded a week of my timeshare for a week at Saratoga Springs.

As part of that trade I can add on the Disney Dining plan.

My question is....I'm planning on staying 5 nights not 7.

Do I have to pay for the Dining plan for all 7 nights or can I just pay for 5 days?

As of right now, Disney will not let me reduce the amount of days on my reservation. They told me to call back within 5-7 days of checking in. Something about the reservation downloading to their system.

The Dining Plan is for "length of stay" so right now I will have to pay for 7 days.

Just wondering if anyone out there has traded through II into DVC and if you stayed less than 7 nights if you had to pay for all 7 days of the Dining Plan.

Thanks.

I have traded in many times. I can tell you that the plan is for LOS and you will have to pay for 7 nights even if you only stay one and for all who are listed in your party regardless of when or how long they stay. Disney is nothing if not inconsistent so you never know what will happen on a given circumstance but that is the rule DVC does by. Here is the info I have from MS
Thank you for contacting Member Services. Disney Dining Plan is based on the length of your
reservation at your Disney Resort Hotel. This can not be shortened for an II stay since those stays
are booked for a traditional 7 night week stay.
The plan must be purchased for the entire party for the entire length of stay.

I have exchanged into DVC through II several times and have also added the DDP. We also stay 5 out of 7 nights, what we do is use the two extra DDP credits and go to 2 signature restaurants which requires 2 credits. That way we use up all 7 credits, we use the counter service credits for both breakfast and lunch until we use up all 7 credits. It seems to always work out great for us.

We threw away three days of a stay over Memorial Day on an exchange---we asked about just four nights of DDP, but no sale.
