Interval International

Hi all. I see a few threads about using DVC points at RCI resorts and vice versa, but nothing for Interval. Does anyone know how this works?

My parents have a few weeks at another Interval resort and would like to use a week or two to visit WDW. I looked at the Interval directory online and was surprised to see the DVC resorts listed. They're all considered premiere resorts, but my parents' home property is also a premiere property, so hopefully that's not an issue.

So...how does this work? Can they just call up Interval and book it (assuming it's available)? Do they get a standard view? Preferred view? I'm sure the people at Interval can answer these questions, but maybe someone here has some experience with this?

We just took a trip Dec. 27th- Jan. 3rd at SSR and we used ii to exchange. We went on a DVC tour while we were there and they informed me that DVC was now exchanging with RCI and not ii. When we got home a friend who is also a owner thru ii called and they said they were still able to do Disney exchanges. If you call asap ii may still put a request in, Disney may not confirm but it would be worth checking on. If this does not work for you ii has some nice resorts off property if your ok with not having transportation to the parks and the dining plan.

I don't know much about it, but is it possible that II would have DVC exchanges leftover from when they were affiliated and that is what is still available to II members? Just guessing because I'm honestly clueless, but I would have your parents call II right away and see if a trade is still possible and see what is available. And of course, let us know what the outcome is, !
