There's lots of info on the boards about traveling on I-95. Anyone have some I-10 tips and info that they'd like to share.

I've driven from New Orleans to Orlando once. The first day we left in early in the morning and stopped in Gainesville at a Fairfield Inn. We were at WDW way before noon which was great.

On the way back we did it all in one day. I think it's about 600 miles.

I'm getting ready to do it again in a couple of weeks. I will probably leave New Orleans about 1 pm on a Sunday. Any suggestions about where to stop for the night or things to see on the way?

I went to Beau Rivage in Biloxi in early August - it was very nice and had some good restaurants.

We drove from Texas twice. Once straight through and the other we stopped in Tallahassee. We really enjoyed stopping at the USS Alabama battleship. Very interesting and we stopped to eat in the little town it was in. I am always so excited to get there that I don't sleep much.

I guess the "little town" comment must mean you're from a huge city. That "little town" is Mobile, and is one of the larger cities in my state (along with Montgomery, Birmingham, and Huntsville). If you want to see a LITTLE town, you'll need to come my way.

I am sorry I do not mean to imply that Mobile is a little town. I just remeber it being off to its self. I actually live in a really small comunity. Fort Knox is very small. Sorry for the mess up.

Bumping this up.

I'd love to hear any good I-10 driving advice too!!
