I have been getting so much helpful information on the boards and I was wondering if anyone had the travel info I'm looking for...?

I'm trying to figure out the best way between all the parks & our resort POFQ, not to mention AKL & the Polynesian for some ADRs.

This is my first trip and I'm trying to get my head around everything before I go. More planning now, less worry later. I don't want to have to spend TOO much time on transportation (or I guess I could use it as a well deserved break for my feet and take a cat nap too).

If it's easier...here are the specifics I'm looking for...Which type of transport, and approx how much time (from pick up to drop off) for any/all of the following: (or is there a map/site that offers this info?)

1 - From POFQ to all of the parks (including DD, BW & WP)...
2 - Between all of the parks (including DD, BW & WP)...
3 - From AK to AKL (are they in the same place...sorry if this seems like a stupid question)
4 - a) From all of the parks (including DD, BW & WP) to the Polynesian? b) which park would be quickest?)

I'm a pain, I know. A map would be marvellous (that way I can get an idea of where in each park I should be, near to the time I'm leaving...so I can work out my path through the park).

(yup, I'm an over-planner...this site is fabulous for me!)

Thank you!

No, you are not a pain!!!! So... let's see...
1. You will be able to catch a bus from POFQ directly to all the parks, as well as to the water parks. You can take either a bus or a boat to DTD from POFQ. There is no bus/boat to boardwalk..you would have to get to a park, then transfer to the Boardwalk Resort bus. Or, take a bus to MGM and then walk to BW, about 15-18 mins via the pathway between MGM and the Epcot resorts.
2. Park to Park buses are a bit tougher. You can get a bus to the other parks from AK, Epcot, MGM but not at MK. You would have to go to the TTC, across the lake to get to a different park...someone correct me if I'm wrong on this one.
3.There will be a bus between AKL and AK...they are close to each other but not close enough to walk, and there are no sidewalks. The bus is very quick.
4.To the Polynesian...from MK you can either take the monorail or the boat.
From the other parks, there will be a Polynesian bus. Probably the quickest would be MK.

Don't overplan so much that you miss out on those unexpected things that happen as you are ambling around. Don't try to plan your day so as to be close to where the buses are going to be....it will all work out, it always does. You should be able to access Disney's official site and get an idea of how the parks are set up.
Have a great trip......be sure to let us all know how it all works out.
