Hey everyone. I need a lot of help here, so please submit anything useful. I am considering doing the College Program to then be able to do a Professional Internship with Disney, to then work towards an office/administrative type career.
This is a big decision, so I have a lot of questions:
1. For those of you who attended a really strong university, was the college program worth it for you?
2. How have any professional internships been? Do they lead to good jobs?
3. What is the general pay of a professional internship?
4. If you did not enjoy the CP, why?
5. For any of you who have done a similar path as I'm considering, was it a good idea?
6. Anything else you might consider relevant to helping me decide to go through with these internships or not would be incredibly welcomed.

Thank you in advance for the help. I really need it!

Hey. Let me see if I can help you with your questions.

1. I don't know what you mean by strong university, the CP was DEFINETELY worth it. I had a blast!! In fact, I applied to go back down again next semester (still waiting).

2. The PIs seem pretty good. Disney is pretty good about picking people from inside for higher jobs, so a PI would help.

3. Not sure about exact pay, but I think it runs in the general area of around $10.

4. Enjoyed it, so can't help you there.

5. I too am considering doing a PI after I finish school. I would like to do either another CP or a PI after I graduate, then go full time down in Disney.

Good luck with your choices!

Well I was just accepted for a PI today! so I'll say what I know...

1. I loved the CP (spent a year there...) and while I didnt get any credit for it- Still dont regret it!

2. It is a great step up to a career
3. its actually per week and its between 550-600 a week
4. *loved * it- It did get hard after 9-11 because we got the cut backs on hours 1st and 30 hours is hard to live on..

5. I'm off on the management path so can't help to much
6. Figure out where you want to end up- and go from there- My career choice is Disney so it makes great sense for me to do this

Thank you very much, those are both most helpful. You're getting me a little more excited about it, and it just might happen. Any and everyone that can help is appreciated.
