Nothing if you are a DVC member But yah, 9.95 no matter where you stay, but it is wired only, no wi-fi which makes my kids sad, but they somehow survive!
the wif-thing drives me nuts, every 6 dollar a night motel has free wi-fi, so i think why can't they? and if it is wired and paid, why is it sooo slow
don't get me wrong, i wan't it free, but i can think of the three main reasons (other than lost $$$$$$)
security- after doing internet tech support for 6 years, there are sooo many people out there who don't know about security
infastructure- you'd need a lot of wireless access points, outside, in the humdity
gross amount of users- if the average motel has 10-12 rooms, that is not much bandwidth, however, a resort like p.o.r has what 1200 rooms? that's a tonne of usage
I am ok with it not being WiFi I guess. I would think that they would still not charge for the amount you pay to stay.
But this way it keeps you out of your room and off spending money in the parks

...and that's probably the secret as to why they're so slow to get wireless, could you imagine all the kids who would be surfing for those extra few hours in the room instead of going to the parks and spending their parent's money...LOL!!

I had a dsi on my last trip, and now have a 3ds, so if I have wi-fi I can go online if I want. I've had no real problem yet with not going online at WDW, but my Dad seems to have to go online and play puzzles and such. I wonder if his laptop could send out wi-fi for me next time we're there. Then him playing instead of going to the parks won't seem as bad for me. Or I will actually go ahead and leave him in the room, since we both have cell phones.
