I tried searching but did not come up with the answer. I recall someone writing something about driving their golf cart up to the location and sitting their surfing the web.
Am I totally losing it or is there free internet somewhere at the fort?

There is internet but you still pay the same rates, at the check-in building, Meadows Trading Post, and at Crocketts Tavern. $4.95 for an hour /$9.95 for a continous 24 hr period. You can get a modem for a hefty deposit ($175? refundable) and pay the same right at your site. The modems are first come, first served.

Unless things have changed since November, there is NO free internet at the Fort. You can either rent a modem and have hookups at your tent for (I believe) a $9.95 day charge, and there is wireless available in the area of the porch at the Trails End and also in a small office-like area at the check-in area of the Fort. These, while wireless, still charge the $9.95 rate. It would be SO nice if Disney would offer a more affordable choice! Hope this helps:thumbsup2

Anyone want to share their internet connection as well as their campsite?
Of course you will have to park at the overflow lot because I will be parking at the site. I will also be using the grill on the days that contain the letter Y. If you smoke you must be at least 3 sites away, And you can only use the internet connection between the hours of 2am and 530am. :rotfl:

Will you make me a hotdog?

Sure I will even splurge on a can of beans to go with that dog!

9.95 for internet or buy mickey ice cream bars............

guess you all will need to wait until our return for a trip report

Some campers hook up wireless routers to their paid for Disney wired internet connections and don't put a security code on it.

So you may be able to find one within range of your site or find one by riding around. Just don't count on finding one.

Instead of getting the box from front desk we use ride the golfcart to the wifi spots at trail's end and at the trading post. nothing like sitting there having a beer, people watching & sufing the web, while all the kids(older kids) are back at camp or somewhere else!

:rotfl2: ...and you can only surf websites that are appropriate for my kid, who will be riding his bike in circles in front of your campsite. :lmao:

Sadly no free internet at the Fort. You can drive over to Crocketts and tap into Disney WiFi, but it's going to cost you $9.95/day.

You might luck into an unsecured WiFi network from time to time, but those come and go with the campers.
