Internet Grocery

Will be staying in THV next visit to WDW, I would like to get some advice on what grocery companies other DVC members have used. What was your experience like? How far in advance did you order? Do they bring the groceries to the room or the main building? Thanks in advance.

From what I've read on the boards most of the Grocery delivery services are good. We have used Garden Grocery at least 1/2 dozen times and have always had extremely good service. We usually have the groceries delivered to the main building. Bell services will store them and then we call and have them delivered to our room when we get in from the park. We tip Garden Grocery when we make and pay for the order. And then we tip bell services when they deliver

We used WeGoShop last week and they were great! We had a huge order. They brought everything to the room. I was splitting the order with my sister and they were very accomidating with use using 3 different payment methods. They were very nice. I love that they gave us a copy of the grocery receipt!

We use Garden Grocer and we LOVE it! We order and pay for our order months ahead. We tip at the time of ordering. We arrange for an early delivery so when we check in we can put our stuff up and get on with our vacation! We do tip bell services when they bring the bags.

Another thumbs up for Garden Grocer. We used them in February and they were punctual. Side note - they will do special requests - even alcohol - if noted on their special requests.

Another vote for Garden Grocer. Just be sure to place your order in plenty of time because occasionally they do book up and stop taking orders. Two weeks in advance ought to do it. Enjoy!

We have also used Garden Grocer a number of times and have always been happy. Will be placing an order soon, as a matter of fact!

I've used Garden Grocer as well as Wegoshop. I actually prefer Wego since they (she) will go to your preferred store and you pay for the actual cost of the groceries, plus a service fee. Overall, it worked out better for us.

We used GG just 2 weeks ago and I thought they were terrific. I picked them over WGS simply because we only needed a handful of stuff and I could find those items in their inventory. Overall I did the numbers and if you order loads of stuff WGS will be better pricewise. But if you only order a handful and not very particular in your brands then GG is better.

We stayed at BLT and the order arrived early. By the time we went into our room the order was already in the bell area. Definitely pleased with their service.

Another thumbs up for We Go Shop! Had two deliveries in December and couldn't be happier.

A large majority of the coupons end up in the recycle bins with the rest of the Sunday paper unlike Internet coupons that the consumer searches for and requests using online grocery networks.

I used Wegoshop last week as well. They gave me a number and I phoned them when I got in my room and they were there promptly at 4 like I had asked. They delivered right to my door at Bay Lake Towers, using big plastic bins on a wheeled cart. They want you to order the week before. I got about $180 worth of food including beer, we eat in the room a lot!

we typically rent a car and go to Wal-Mart our first day there - we figure we almost save enough money by eating most meals at our resort to pay for the car - haven't tried the grocery order thing, but prices do seem a little inflated to me

Another vote for Garden Grocer. Some resorts don't allow delivery to the room anymore (BCV, YC - at least the last 2 times that we've stayed),
but other than that GG has been extremely reliable. We've never had any issues.

We use WeGoShop every time and we love Marge. We were just there with 6 other families using WeGoShop and having all our groceries delivered very close to the same time. All of us received our groceries at around the same time at different resorts. One right after the other. She even ordered a birthday cake for us, at Wal-Mart, and picked that up for us to.

Will Wego Shop and GG leave alcohol with bell services if you haven't arrived yet? I emailed Marge and received a standard reply that had nothing to do with my question.
