Internet cafes and taking laptops - Q's

Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone knew of any places in LBV/ US192 to use computers/ internet.
I'm gonna need to access my emails for work purposes (and maybe check in on the DIS while we're away ) but I've always been able to use computers in the hotels where we've stayed before - but not this time
I've never taken my laptop and although the condo where we're staying the 2nd week has free wi-fi, I'm a little concered about taking it. Especially because the 1st week we're staying at CSR and I'm not sure my laptop will fit in the safe!
Also, what's the situation with laptops and hand luggage? Is it classed as 1 piece?
So... what do y'all think?

we stayed at csr for our wedding last year and our laptop fitted in fine, we have a compaq one. My mum took hers as well and fitted in.

We used the internet in the room for $9.95 everyother day

we got a backpack laptop case that we could but other things in and it was classed as one piece so yes if its in a bag on its on its 1 piece
