Anyone know if they still offer an Internet Cafe flat rate while you cruise? It used to be around $89 or something like that. If they don't, what is the current charge per minute? Our DD will be taking online summer courses for extra credit and needs to access while on the Western in May. Thanks for any help.

My Passporter arrived yesterday and it is sitting on my desk waiting for some "free time" to look through it so I checked.

It says on the 7 day unlimited access is $89.99 and that everyone in the stateroom can use it but only one at a time. Also make sure she knows the access URLs for both the course and her email account.

I teach online courses and have also been watching these discussion threads on the board. It appears the access was off for a little while back in the fall while some remodeling was done but it is now up and running.

Is the "everyone in the stateroom can use it" a new thing? I know you can (one at a time) but are you "allowed" to? Last year we had some issues with that.

Not sure what issues you ran into. I was just reporting what the Passporter said and other threads have indicated that it was ok, as long as the users were only on one at a time and had the necessary info - password, etc.

Any potential problems you want to share? I know we'll need it as I have to have some contact with my "ghost instructor" and I know DH and DS will want some surfing time.

Well there were 5 of us traveling (family) in two rooms. My sister wanted to send an email so I let her, you know, who cares? But the Internet hostess (Melissa) made it an issue and said she (my sister) would have to sign up for her own access. I dryly asked if she (the Internet hostess) would prefer me to type the email for her. I mean come on, what's the point we're both sitting there.

$90 for a week for a cabin isn't a bad deal, but I'm not paying $90 a person. Anybody else had this problem?

I'm curious how they even knew whose account it was, when we were on 4-01 Magic we would just sit down and sign in. As long as everyone in your party knows the password they should all be able to use it. We are traveling with 5 in our group and 2 cabins and plan on buying the unlimited usage to let all of us use it. No way would I pay 90 per person!

The per minute charge is 75 cents if you don't get the unlimited package, FOJMO.

Disney's official line is that each party MEMBER is supposed to sign up for their own access. The reality is that one stateroom can sign up for access and as long as you all know the password you can access at different times.

I think this was probably the hostess's issue here... each room is definitely supposed to have their own account...even if it's all the same family.
