In reading some of the posts, and reading posted Navigators, It reports that the internet cafe shuts down at 11:00pm on the last evening on the cruise.

Is this a hard and fast rule for you knowledgable cruises.

Southwest Airlines has just instituted online boarding passes and they can only be issued after 12:01 am on the day of travel.

I have read here that someone has already used the internet cafe to print their boarding passes.

Any comments.

Thanks,

kennyk

We printed boarding passes on Friday PM at about 9:30 PM. I think they clear out the user IDs / passwords so they can get the billing done and get ready for the next cruise.

I don't know what would happen if you were to log on at 10:59 Pm and just stay on until 12:01 Am.

We also printed our boarding passes form the Internet Cafe for US AIR 24 hrs before our flight 3 weeks ago.

We also used the internet at 6:30 am before we got off the ship. They told us we can use it (had unlimited package) until 8:00 am.
I also seen other cruiser's printing boarding passes after midnight for Southwest the last night.

Thank you Nick and Cindy (DVC Owner)

I see from your post that you had unlimited internet access. That must be the answer as you have already paid for your usage and they don't have to keep track of minutes/hours of use.

Thanks again from a fellow DVC'r

I usually go on every night and have tried something of the sort. If you try to log on later you get an error. If you are on when it goes off it will tell you something like "You have 1 minute remaing until your internet connection will be disconnected" or something like that. My tip is we snuck into it the next morning during breakfast and did it.

KennyK -- if you can help me on this one as I've never flown Southwest before. I am flying southwest on this Sat. and I called and was told that I didn't need to have a boarding pass that I would get it at the airport and that they don't assign seas ahead of time -- just boarding groups depending on how early you check in. I've seen your post and one other regrading printing boarding passes. Could you enlighten me on this? I appreciate any info. you can give me. :)

KennyK: My DW and I just finished the 4-night Disney Wonder cruise last Thursday. We (actually she) had no problem using the internet cafe at Midnight to print our Southwest boarding passes. We did not have the unlimited access plan, just logged in on a per-minute basis. The charges appared on the folio slipped under our door that morning, no problem.

There are only certain hours that there is a "manager" at the cafe, but other than that it is open 24 hours. (It does close at some point early on the morning of return to Port Canaveral.)

hsteacher: You certainly can get your boarding passes at the airport. But printing them online (after 12:01 am local time) makes sure you get in boarding group "A" which is the first to board the plane - that way you have more choices of where to sit.

hsteacher,

I sent you a PM about online boarding passes, hope it helps,

Bounceybounce,

Thanks for the info, "A" boarding passes here I come.

Hey KennyK,
I'll see you there! We are on your cruise and are also flying SWA Saturday afternoon. It's nice to know that we at least have shot at getting "A" category boarding passes. I don't like to be split up when we fly.
The boys are no longer counting the days, it is a matter of hours now!!!

We'll see you and your gang soon

Diana,

What time does your flight get in, ours lands at 1:45pm

We're staying at the Hyatt, rented a car and going over to wdw for afternoon and Dinner at AKL Boma's restaurant.

You did get separate confirmation numbers for each person I hope.

We will be in Florida earlier that week to spend some time with my Dad. We'll be staying at the Radisson Friday evening. Our flight out on the 17th doesn't leave until 5:45 so we have rented a car and will fill the day somehow (nothing we do will compare to how we will have spent the week though).
Once I heard (on these boards, of course) that SWA was allowing us to print the boarding passes at home, I called to make sure everything was in order. We all have our own confirmation numbers, so we are all set. Not having to worry about the boarding nightmare is a huge relief. My younger DS thinks flying is very cool, the older one is like his mother, not too sure of the whole thing!! So it is always best that we are all together:grouphug:

Diana,

Our flt out on Saturday is at 2:15 so I guess we'll miss you at the airport. I've read that you can get a day room at the Hyatt and use their pool and rest up before your flight.

I'm not sure how much the room rate is, but it's worth looking into since your flight is late and you will probably be at the airport by 10:30am.
