There was a thread on this board about booking "Room Only" on the internet and the payment policy. I talked to WDTC again this morning on the subject. A CM had previously told me that "Room Only" reservations on the internet were handled with the same T&C's as through CRO. I know that different people on these boards have been given different answersby the various CMs and agents. Many people have been confused on this subject, so here is the latest (at least what I've been told).

I talked to WDTC again today and bottom line was told that the CRO terms and conditions apply for Room Only ressies on the internet. The CM first started to go into the information about the terms for the Walt Disney Travel company ... cancel 46 days out without penalty, etc., etc.. Then I told her I have "Room Only" via the Disney website and she put me on hold and checked with a supervisor. I told her that there was a lot of confusion on the on-line boards, etc. Her word back to me is that yes, room only reservations on the Disney internet site are handled like CRO - cancellation 5 days prior, balance of payment due at check-in. She acknowledged that she has talked to many people who have been confused on this. I told the CM that the website needs to be updated because the language on the "Room Only" shows the terms and conditions of the WDTC packages (the 46 days out, etc.). I suggested that she contact the technical support people and have the website for Room Only updated. The CM was very helpful and I think will do whatever she can to bring this to someone's attention who can do something about this. I don't know how much power or clout the CMs have, but if someone knows the technical powers to be at Disney (or whoever would be responsible for maintaining that website), I'll send them my two cents worth, also. I know from having worked in contracts that as long as the verbage is on the website, Disney could still technically hold you to the terms listed on the website. Just my thought....

On the disney website at the bottom of each page is a contact us link. This works well I've recieved many return e-mails and several phone calls whenever I've used this means of contact. I would suggest that you try contacting them that way.

I checked the Disney Website this afternoon and the "Room Only" cancellation and deposit policy has been updated! :bounce:

I think this is a great option now for those who like to book via internet.

WDW Trekker - Thanks for the info. on how to contact Disney's Web group.
