What is the availability of internet access at YC? I'm on the fence about bringing my laptop, but might if it's not too difficult to get online.

We brought our lap top to the YC and had no problem with the wireless internet. It worked great.

Its very easy to use. Just plug-in your ethernet cable (or use the one you'll find in the closet), open your browser and agree to the $9.95 per 24 hour fee.

I just asked my DH and he said that it was wireless.

In the room it is wired. In the common areas (lobby, convention center) its wireless. Be careful, the two are not interchangeable. If you use both you are charged for both.

If you want wireless in your room, bring along a small access point, like an Apple Airport Express.
