I don't use Expedia or any other one of those travel services, I prefer to book my components through the source, IE: air, through the airline.

Is it safe? Depends on who you use. Expedia is safe, but, I would not be sure that it is the best value. You might also try Dreams Unlimited, they are a sponser of this board.

I booked a package through expedia last summer. It was wonderful. Everything was taken care of, even transfers from the airport. When you book a package, you must pay for it in full at the time of booking. I decieded to upgrade to a deluxe resort before I left. They took care of everything. I even was granted my exact room request. After you book your package, you print out vouchers which you redeem for your transfers, resort, tickets, etc. Let me know if you have any other questions.

It is safe. If you like to change your reservations or apply codes then I wouldn't use one of these online agencies. They aren't good at working with them. I booked through Expedia and had problems because Disney couldn't see the reservation.

I second the opinion of using Dreams Unlimited. They receive high marks from the folks on these boards.

I've used expedia and travelocity tons of times for just hotel reservations, and have never had a problem. Last month, through expedia, I booked a 7day/6night at a Holiday Inn w/roundtrip airfare from Elmira, NY to Orlando for $321 per person. Then I ordered Universal Studio & Seaworld tickets through ticketmania for $52 each. I reserved a car for 7days for $168. The only thing left to pay for is WDW passes and food, etc....

i believe they're ok...
i recently bought a vacation package off an independent agent at http://www.coastalincome.com/vaxaii and got to visit st.kitts in the islands.

had a good time, and they're safety guarantee was a trial free trip to the bahamas, just for checking them out.
it was beautifuulllll. had such fun! why? do you have anyone you're looking at or have reservations about?

Hi,
I haven't booked our trip yet but i have been looking at expedia.....I booked a trip last year through a travel agent and it just seems so much cheaper off the computer.....I was just wondering if they are safe, i just don't want to be scammed....
Thanks

Expedia and aavacations (american airlines vacations ), and orbitz have all been reliable. The price difference is that they buy in bulk and don't have the rent and staff costs of a travel agency. In some situations I use a travel agency because of the deals they get and information they provide. Other times I simply read up , use the internet and book it myself. I travel 90 nights a year on business and pleasure, so it's a mixed blessing.

Hi,
I just checked out shopthemouse.com they have some nice savings but how do you use the codes....I looked on waltdisneyworld web site there is no where to put codes.....I have never used codes before could you tell me how to use them??????
Thanks

Hi Again,
I have another question before i forget, if i didn't plan on going till next year 2005 do there codes change evey now and then?????Do they always have similiar packages????Is it worth applying for the disney visa????
Thanks

The codes come out every few months for a time period, most of those websites listed on shopthemouse know the codes already, a few of them automatically change your package over for you with the newest Discounts. They are the best to deal with because they do the work for you. The prices are not out for 2005, you can book a room only and make payments on it, and when the codes come out, you can change it over to a package if you want. The codes are listed on shopthemouse and prices.:wave2:
