internet access OKW

what kind of access is availalbe at OKW? ie data ports in the phone for dial-up or highspeed ie cable/t1 line?

if it is dial-up I would need to get a provider since I use a cable modem at home with my laptop and t1 at the office.

which of the free ones have local access numbers from OKW and do they still not charge for local calls?

There are data ports on the phones. I'm pretty sure it was .35 a call for the local AOL number. Can't help you with the free ISP folks in the area.

I use netzero when at OKW and HH. There are good local dialup numbers available at both locations.

All resorts at WDW have dataports, but there is no broadband service available at this time.

Is the 35 cents per local call for unlimited time?!

I thought I remembered members got local calls free. Maybe it changed.

I'll have to download netzero onto the laptop. THen find out which are the local calls.

Also have to check out juno.

I was in Baltimore this weekend, and realized I needed dialup. went ot staples and got a disc for free msn for a month!

Another opton for dial-up access for those of us using Cable/DSL at home:

Prepaid internet. You can get about 8-10 hours of access for $10. Some also include toll-free access. Here are some links that I found:

Members are charged 35 cents for local calls, rather than the usual 75 cents. That is unlimited time, I usually dialed in when I got up in the morning and left it online for quite some time while eating breakfast & getting ready. Make sure you use an Orlando number, not Kissimmee. If in doubt, confirm with the hotel operator. 800# calls are free for members.
