Internet Access in USA !

I need to know the best option for connecting to the internet with my laptop from the villa while in Florida !

I have contacted the villa owners who have confirmed they have no problems with me accessing the net provided I pay all the charges.

Just to update for anyone who is considering an ISP connection in the USA.

After much research of free/low cost ISP providers I have opted for Gumshoes recommendation - access 4 free

They charge an initial one off $4.95 set up fee and each month you get 10 hours free online - after this they charge $1 for each additional hour up to a maximum of $10 per month for unlimited usage.

Because they do not charge a standard monthly fee there is no need to cancel the ISP upon return to the UK leaving the facility available for future trips !

We have always used Juno. there is a free download from www.juno.com. Select the free service nad you will get 10 hrs of free access per month. If you want more than that you will need to upgrade and pay.

We find 10 hours ample for checking email etc and some searches. I tend to use email rather than postcards now for family.

Juno provide local access numbers anywhere in the US. You simply have to enter the area code you're in for the list. However, in some areas, even numbers using the smae area code can be other than local calls. it is not like K where every number with the same STD code is local.

i find it very useful when we have been touring the wset caost and new england - most hotels have free local calls.

The other alternatives are, of course, internet cafes - there is one in the Buena Vista mall at least - or wireless access at various 'hotspots' - I am informed that all Starbucks have this facility and it is certainly present at MCO.
