Can anyone give me any advice on these? DD17 will want to phone her BF at home constantly. Should we buy them when we get there?
Speaking as someone who has`nt mastered a mobile phone any help would be great!
Thanks
Merylj.
I first tried Click4Prepaid in July for my solo trip and will continue to use them. They are excellent and it's so easy to use! You literally just top it up online before you go and voila! Their calls are really cheap - I normally put on $20 which gives you around 200 minutes if not more, can't remember the exact amount. I'd definitely recommend them. You can also add shortcuts for your numbers - for example, my mum's number is 111 and it puts you straight through. You set them up online.
Be careful that some hotels actually charge a fixed fee for connection to some numbers. The last time I used one I was charged $1 per connection in the room. The card I used had a local area number which really was free though.
If I use the card from my room at Pop Century, I'm charged a 75c connection each time I use it. However, if you ring from a pay phone then you don't pay a connection charge. It's really simple, you have a number to ring depending whether you're ringing from your room or a payphone, it asks you to key in your member number then you dial the number back to the UK.
