I was super excited to learn my husband had a conference for work in Orlando April 18-20, and that I could tag along!! Of course my first thought was that we could make a Disney trip out of it!! Now after the room has been booked where the conference is (International Palms) I got on-line to check out the reviews and apparently the place is a dump!! Has anyone ever stayed there that can confirm or deny the other reviews I read?? I am terrified that our trip is going to be awful and I will want to sleep on a park bench at Magic Kingdom!! I appreciate any help!!

Sorry we have never stayed here but every review I read was very very bad.Think I would have to stay somewhere else.:confused3

We're going down for a conference in March and I am looking for something between the airport and USO. (Seem like a wide enough area to search?) :rotfl: I think I must have seen the same reviews of the Palms Resort. Rooms in the area are booking up fast and I'm having trouble deciding. Unless we stay in a large chain hotel, it seems hotels in that area don't get good reviews.

I had decided on Country Inn & Suites because it seemed exactly between the conference location and USO but read bad reviews of the staff. :confused3

Go to the Holiday Inn site and check out the Holiday Inn @ 7276 International Drive. It has a good rating, the rooms look big as well as having small refrig and microwave, and showing a rate of $85.00 prepaid per night (for my travel dates). I hope that helps you...I think we're going to try it.

We won a 2.5 star Priceline bid and stayed there last Friday night. It does ot deserve 2.5 stars. I must say that I was quite fearful after reading the reviews. The hotel is badly in need of repairs. The railings around the atrium (we were on the 11th floor) were rickety and appeared unsafe. We stayed there for a night which was okay, but we won't be going back, and I wouldn't have stayed any longer. The room was old but fairly clean. The rest of the hotel, though, needs a thorough cleaning and a good paint job. You could also tell by the clientele that it had very cheap rates (no offense meant to anyone). If I were you, I would find another hotel.

Any more thoughts on this place.....we are looking to stay just a few nights really cheap..and the pictures look so nice and then I read the reviews and most are horrid.
What about Quality Inn of Econolodge too?
