International Gateway Characters

Staying at BWV, so will be in this area a lot. Which characters are we likely to see, & what times are they likely to be out at this location?

The times and Characters for the 3 World Showcase "training areas"(IG area by World Traveler,"entrance plaza" to World ShowPlace,"walkway" leading to Backstage gate by American Adventure) are totally random and may or may not happen on any given day.

It's one of those Pixie Dust things!

No one will have the answer for that. I've seen tons of characters down there ranging from Princesses training to just randoms who made no sense to me. They are not publicly announced meet and greets but are most common during CP training times which are August/September and January/February.

At the International Gateway we just about always see Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella and Mary Poppins .

No telling who you are likely to see or when. It's whoever is doing some training that day. Gaston was there a couple of weeks ago.

Unless it has changed Mary Poppins is always at IG or somewhere between IG and UK.

Mary has her designated meet area in the UK near the tea shop. She walks from the IG to get there. If you see her there, she may be starting or ending her time onstage.

It's completely random.

But I believe you are more likely to randomly happen upon it between 11 and 5, and more on weekdays vs weekends. That specific location is more likely to have face characters. I met Ariel and Eric a while back when I was there during the week for a work thing - I have never been lucky enough to happen upon on during the weekend (though it does happen)

Stayed at BCV last month so we were in and out of the Gateway quite a bit. Only saw Cinderella and Prince Charming on a random mid-weekday afternoon. Ended up being one of the better encounters of the week. The line was short and they were willing to engage you longer than usual.

That's a different location. That's their designated M&G in the UK.

OP is asking about the character training location that is further down on the bridge leading up from the IG entrance.
Those characters are random and can be any character in all of Disney that is new and in need of some training time. As such impossible to determine before hand who that will be, if anyone.
We saw Mr Smee last month. In 6 days of going in and out of the entrance he is the only one we ever saw

Mary and Alice appear in the British pavilion regularly, but they come "onstage" through a door behind the IG shop and walk over to their meeting spot. So you might see them in the area, but they aren't part of the "character training" initiative.

Gaston was the latest "in training" I saw when I was there for the F&W festival, I also saw Ariel and Rapunzel in that area (separately, not together). Couple of years ago, had the great fortune to run across Captain Jack Sparrow with nobody lined up to meet him.
