Interline rates?

Hello,

The CM I talked to today said the interline (airline employee) rates are not out yet for my June 2008 trip. She didn't know when. Does anyone know when these traditionally come out? I am ready to book and don't want to miss the 50% discount that airline employees can get. Thanks so much!!!

We're in the same boat - we have a reservation for February, but if we can't get the discount we're going to need to change our plans quite a bit. It's frustrating to know that everyone else can make their plans but we can't. Plus, if we need to change plans we'll need to use the AAA rates - which seem to be going fast. I don't want to lose a AAA rate waiting for an Interline rate. Very frustrating. Grrrrrrrrr. . . .

Just got this info from an Interline Reservations E-mail

"In 2008 the interline discount at the hotels at Walt Disney World will be 40% off (this year they were 50% off) except for what they call the Home Away from Home rooms (think timeshare units) which could be as much as 60% off. Now this is not set in stone yet but they indicated this is what we can expect for the 2008 interline discounts."

Thanks for the update, charm73. It's too bad that the discount has been reduced. Haven't all of us in the industry taken enough cuts as it is?

When Disney releases the interline rates, do they open up the whole year at once, or just a certain number of days in the future? I am new to the Disney interline policy. Thanks for your help

FYI - Those 2008 Interliner rates are available. Just got off the phone with the airline booking # and got a reservation. Good luck!

Well, I just book the interline discount for March and it was 40% off. I'm wondering if the Florida resident rate will be better.

Here's my dilemma...I already booked three nights at AKL about two weeks ago. Two nights are on points, and the third is on a DVC member discounted rate. They are all in a VALUE studio. All that the TA rate offers is in a STANDARD studio. Do I cancel that third night, book it with the TA rate (saves 78.00) and hope they will keep us in the same studio, even though a value studio is not available thru the TA rate?

my sister is an employee and she wants to book with the interline discount for our wedding trip next year. Any idea if she can book more than one room? Her husband is also an airline employee so we're wondering if we can get a couple of rooms with their discounts. Any idea??

Yes I believe when you call that number there was a prompt, and DL was listed (I think) just call and ask.

I called yesterday and they are very helpful. They said that CRO should have given me their # when I asked about the interline discount.

You can book 2 rooms per employee.

Be aware that all interline reservations are booked as packages

no, I only booked a room only... They told me you can't add on tickets to this b/c it is a basic plan.??

actually I just looked at my notes and saw that it said land package, room only. So yes you are right.. it incures all the fees for xln etc..

Yup. They included the mini-golf passes on my tickets too.

I think it's their way of applying all the same rules such as pre-payment and 45 day cancellation.
