DH and I just purchased a used Toyota Sienna (2004), and about 3 days into ownership have determined we have a poltergeist!!!
Friday night DH woke up and discovered that all the interior lights were on in the van. Okay, we left a door open--that's cuz of our 5 and 7 year old gremlins, not the poltergeist. . .but when he closed the door, some of the interior lights went off, but others didn't and he couldn't get them to go off no matter what he did!
Then, after getting the AAA jump start on Saturday morning, we went about our business, all pledging to be super careful (don't push Any buttons, don't leave the doors open, etc. etc).
That night, we parked the car in the driveway--all lights out, all doors shut--for the night. Around midnight, I look out the window to see the car all lit up again!! And, again, we had trouble getting the lights to go out (the floor lights never have gone out and they don't have buttons you can push!)
So, the car is at the shop today. I think my DH was sheepish about what they would tell him (the kids pushed the buttons, etc.), but the mechanic said he's seen it all, so let's hope they can figure out what's wrong.
This ever happen to anyone else out there? We're going to the shore in a few days, and I really don't want to become acquainted with every AAA emergency crew on the eastern seaboard!
