Interesting Update from Disney Gossip about DVC resorts

I doubt they would make it all DVC, it's a pretty popular resort. I think a mixed use would be more likely.

The Poly is so popular, I can't see it going totally DVC. I agree with those guessing a possible mixed use in its future. We will be right there in line to add on!

I wonder if the rolf's at BCV Disney is buying back has anything to do with this rumor about the Poly. Perhaps planning to also shift Poly guests to BCV?

I don't think Disney is buying enough BCV to house that number of guests. It's just that the demand for BCV is high enough that they can resell whatever they get at a profit.

Maybe if they build the GF DVC, they could use it to take up some of the Poly slack. DVD may be willing to not sell GF too quickly, if by using the rooms for regular displaced Poly guests would eventually give them units at the Poly to sell.

I have always wondered about what I percieve as deffered exterior maininance and not upgrading some areas at Poly, If they are considering a ground up renovation then that would answer the reason.

With the layout I could see then doing a modular construction technique for the longhouses (I would actually be surprised if they tore doen the puplic areas) to be able to do int in less t han 1 year.

I can also see them going another floor higher and sneeking in a DVC section since it is such a prime location
