Interesting photo article - Disney Princesses portrayed as real women

Saw a link to this article and was curious. An interesting art technique was applied to show what Disney Princesses might look like if they were real women.

The Jasmine & Esmeralda are the only 2 that aren't creepy, IMO. Although, my DH said they both look like they're straight out of Heavy Metal magazine & I think he's so right.

The Ursula is downright scary.

Ha! I agree with Chrysty. Although, I think Mulan looks nice. Of course, she is my favorite Disney character, so I might be a little biased.

Some of them didn't look too good, but I liked Mulan, Pocahontas, Jasmine and Esmerelda. Belle wasn't too bad, but I thought Aurora looked awful.

These are fine, if you like Victoria's Secret models posing as Disney Princesses.

I didn't like Aurora at all. Ursula was awesome in a creepy kinda way, lol. I thought the others looked pretty good.

My opinions.

Jasmine... She's absolutely beautiful, but I think she should look more Indian than this rendering

Aurora... okay, she's supposed to be 16 -- this looks like an adult playing at being a teenager

Pocahontas... Disney's version is older than the real Pocahontas, but she looks too old here. Again, she looks a little too European and I'd prefer more Native American features. She does look a bit like Tia Carrere (well, if you squint your eyes...)

Belle... What's with the attitude? Belle is intelligent and beautiful - in this artistic rendering she looks kind of worn out and looks like she's saying, "hurry and take the picture." I think she's pretty, but I like to look at 'pleasant' not 'irritated' princesses.

Esmerelda... drop dead gorgeous here. Looks more 'European' than 'gypsy' to me, though... but, yeah, if I were a guy, I'd probably want to meet her

Ariel... Looks like a cute, young mermaid. It's a nice rendition of her

Ursula... hilarious - yup, I wouldn't change this one

Megara... I think this is a good representation of what she would look like, with facial expression and all. Nicely done

Mulan... I think the artist did a good job with Mulan. She reminds me a bit of one of our DISers, Rochelle (eatmypixiedust)


There are a lot of good ones, but my favorites would be Esmeralda, Jasmine, and the Little Mermaid.
