Why not? Are there new Earth Children books that have been published recently? I haven't been paying attention...but loved this series way back when....

Well dang, I won't get to read the final books in the Earth Children (Clan of the Cave Bear) or Outlander series.

Actually, wasn't the world supposed to end in 1999 .

I take the date that comes from the Mayans more seriously and I think that it's misinterpreted. I think it's just simply the end of their calendar. But just in case, does anyone else feel like they need to hitch a ride with John Cusack on that date?

With the world ending in may, do you think Disney will end The "free dining" promo for august 2011?? What about fast passes?? Well if that is the case i'm not going in august thats for sure!! No Free dining, no fast passes, no Disney trip in august!!

we'll be sharing our last day in WDW with OP.......DH and I actually discussed it a while ago....saw some signs stating the dates...and decided what better place to die than in the happiest place in the world with the people you most love!!!!

No, she is coming out with the 6th book in March but there is a 7th planned for the series. Seeing that it has taken her over 20 years to write these books, I doubt she will have the last one done and published by May

I don't think so. You are not taking hidden immunity idols into consideration. What if one of the survivors used his or her immunity idol to be safe from the end of the world?

But I'm expecting a healthy refund this year and plan to blow it on all sorts of foolishness (mostly those candy dots) before our untimely end.

Did you ever read the book from the late 40s The Beach? It was about nuclear fallout from an atomic war eventually traveling across the globe and killing all people and animal life. Everyone just went on with life as normal in the book even though they knew they had at best another year on earth. I think after the initial shock, that is what everyone would do.

Well I imagine that they will introduce a special immunity idol this season, perhaps called the medallion of immunity power idol. I'm guessing the contestants will be allowed to use it up until the end of the world as we know it...but I feel fine.

In addition to Warner Brothers, there is a radio preacher, Harold Camping (of Family Radio) who predicts 5/21/11 as the judgement day/end of the world. It is our 7th wedding anniversary, so I'm hoping DH will take me out to dinner the day before. LOL

According to her though this is the date of the Rapture, and THEN we have exactly 7 months until the end of the world on Oct. 21st. All i can say to that is Thank God i get my next cruise in first. I will have gotten off the Magic 5 days prior to the end.

I just read on internet that the world is coming to an end on May 21, 2011. Well I am so happy I will be spending my last day at WDW. The happiest place on earth!!!!
I just thought it was funny that my plans worked out that way.
Who else will be there?
