It's always amazing to me the juxtaposition between the DIS boards over the years and the vision of how Staggs describes the vacation process...the idea that FP running at park open was so onerous, the idea that limiting choice to a few items is good “It lets people’s vacations unfold naturally,” Staggs says. “The ability to plan and personalize has given way to spontaneity.” But many say that is exactly what is lost; spontaneity.

We've been to Disney 7 times since 2005 but not since 2013 so this will be our first full experience with the new system. I'm nervous but hopeful. In a way a place that was so familiar to us feels a little foreign but I'm pretty sure we will have a blast anyway. I'm really looking forward to the experience.

I do think that the overall My Magic program is not necessarily designed considering in depth planners/researchers, as can be found on places like the dis and similar fan sites. I think it is built around the more casual and less frequent visitor.
