Interesting frozen rumor

Kennythepirate has said that the coronation will be this fall so that's something to play with as far as dates

Much more of the merchandise was initially focused on Anna rather than Elsa. However, for whatever reason, the girls (including this poster's 8yr-old DD) have just gone absolutely crazy for Elsa.

I was surprised by this initially as well, but I think it really all comes down to who sings THE song... and that, obviously, is Elsa.

Many People are saying the Maelstrom will be replaced with a frozen ride

Many people are very incorrect.

There are no internal rumors of such a replacement, and to do so would not be consistent with the purpose of the WS. Maelstrom is very popular as it is, a top tier ride at EPCOT in terms of wait and FP distribution. Considering Disney doesn't have universal control to decide what happens to that ride, it is really unlikely to the point of impossible to think that ride would become Frozen themed.

Two words:

That dress.

That's why girls love her. She's magical, she's unique looking (and beautiful), and she has... That dress.

That I can answer as a 100% no. My friend of Elsa asked if they would do a character meal, she said that there were talks, no immediate plans. The main reason is logistical. They have nowhere to put them and Elsa cannot navigate between tables with her outfit and there are "no plans" for her to make appearances in her existing coronation gown (it has been made, but she's not meeting in it). The place she's at would have to be appropriately themed and preferred as a more high-dining experience as opposed to general character buffet, with an area for Elsa to stand in the front as she can't circulate and as long as they're meeting in Norway, they can't have them in the Norway eatery. Cinderella's has no place to set up for Elsa to receive people, and it wouldn't work because it's not her meal anyway, and by creating a breakfast they limit who can access her when they need to widen her availability, not limit it. They want her in more freely available in-park locations as a priority. Neither HS or AK have anything in the way of a sit-down that could accommodate them.
Couldn't Anna and Elsa fit in Akershus? Elsa could replace Belle....

Had plans for EMH in June to meet Elsa. There goes my plans. Oh, well. This would be great, but wishing for more FP+ passes.

Our experience is that of Dummbgirl. It is not the dress--merchandise is too scarce for it to catch on. And she is not beautiful--she is modeled on the Ice Queen and therefore designed to look harsh. But girls sing that song all day long.

Not beautiful??? She is gorgeous!!

I think the difference plays into our instinctual/societal view of beauty. Anna is cute. The red hair and freckles, traditional dress. She would be your best friend.

Elsa, on the other hand, is beautiful. Blonde hair, flawless skin, and a sparkly glamorous dress fit for a queen.

Sorry about playing to stereotypes, but as a formerly princess obsessed child, Anna is who you are, Elsa is who you wish you were.

I got confirmation from some entertainment managers tonight that Anna and Elsa will definitely be moving to fairytale hall starting April 20th. They will be replacing Snow White.

I also heard they are considering doing two separate meet and greets. Anna and kristoff and Elsa and Olaf

Kenny nailed it.

Straight from the Mouse

We’re excited to share that Anna and Elsa, from Disney’s Academy Award-winning film “Frozen,” will soon move from Epcot to Magic Kingdom Park. Starting April 20, they’ll join some of their fellow Disney Royals at Princess Fairytale Hall, where Disney FastPass+ service will be available for this character greeting experience.

Elsa and Anna will appear together each day until the early evening, after which other visiting Disney Princesses will be available to greet guests. Cinderella and Rapunzel will also continue making appearances at Princess Fairytale Hall, and of course, you can see all these favorite characters and more during daily performances of the new “Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade!”

Glad to hear this. That would definitely become a FP requirement for me, I have little faith in that standby line moving. :hourglass

this is exactly it!

Anna is a jan, Elsa is a Marcia. For whatever reason...little girls love blonde hair. This is true when looking at the dolls which sell best at American Girl stores-- blonde, blonde and blonde... said the redheaded mother of three brunettes... :)

I am so excited to hear they are moving to the Princess Fairytale hall and they will have fast pass. I was already figuring out what i was going to have to bring with me to sit in line all day while my husband and daughter enjoyed Epcot so she could see them.

I would love to see them make Anna and Kristof and Elsa and Olaf together as well. I was told that olaf ended up being the major character. His stuffed animals were the ones that sold out first and have never returned to available. He is the only one we are missing because we can't find him anywhere. We have Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Sven.

Haha! Right on with your Brady Bunch reference. Perfect analogy! "It's always Marsha Marsha Marsha!!!!!!"

As a father of a nine year-old obsessed with Elsa - it is ALL OF THE ABOVE. She's pretty, fabulously dressed, can throw ice out of her hands - and she's singing the song of the year. "Let It Go" is Disney's biggest hit in a looooong time. Its currently in the Billboard TOP 10. The album has been #1. It's the first album of 2014 to sell more than a million copies. Big Stuff.
