Interesting frozen rumor

Not beautiful??? She is gorgeous!!

I think the difference plays into our instinctual/societal view of beauty. Anna is cute. The red hair and freckles, traditional dress. She would be your best friend.

Elsa, on the other hand, is beautiful. Blonde hair, flawless skin, and a sparkly glamorous dress fit for a queen.

Sorry about playing to stereotypes, but as a formerly princess obsessed child, Anna is who you are, Elsa is who you wish you were.

For my DD it was definitely the dress. She picked to dress as her for Halloween based on the dress before even seeing the movie ! It does surprise me though because normally she goes for the brunettes since the look like her as she says (Belle and Snow White are her favorites).

I am told they are working overtime trying to get enough merchandise ready to sell when the DVD comes out. Isn't that soon? I know the Disney stores are awaiting big shipments of merchandise. I think Target must have gotten their stuff early. Disney never dreamed Frozen would be this BIG that's why they didn't have enough merchandise available. They are hoping it lasts till next Christmas. When that dress is selling for $1000 on-line you know people have gone a little crazy. I love the movie and song. In fact my grandson changed the appropriate words and sang it at his Talent Show on Thursday night. It was a big hit. Adults love the song as much as the kids do.:cool1::cool1:

DVD is out on Tuesday.

Right around Christmas, DD wanted to use a Disney gift card she had to buy a Frozen backpack from the Disney Store online. I told her she needed to save her Disney money for our trip in May, thinking I'd buy the backpack for her later and stick it in her Easter basket. So in early January, I went online to buy the backpack. Not available through Disney. Found it on ebay for $80. It was originally $20. Ugh! No way am I paying that! I should have just let DD buy it when she wanted to. I just had no idea that Disney would have so vastly underestimated the demand for Frozen merchandise.

Elsa is blonde, beautiful, a queen, has a sparkly dress with near-wings, has magic, and becomes Jessica Rabbit halfway through the movie as she sings a girl power song. Legions of little girls are completely enamored of her. They want to grow up to BE her. She's a Disney princess for the modern age, with a big fat "Take your rules and shove them" on top.

Trust me, Disney isn't going to remove Elsa from the parks. ;p

Do not expect lots of Frozen product on Tuesday at TDS. :drive:

They are not holding back product for the release date. :faint:

Sadly, they just do not have it. They do get some, here and there, but it sells out in a few hours. Some comes in UPS, so there is no way to predict when it will even arrive.

Some stuff was restocked today, but not as much as I had hoped.

If you work for Disney you aren't allowed to say you play the character. You have to say you're friends with the character.

So basically Disney hasn't hired enough people to play Elsa and is having a hard time retaining the people they have hirepd to play her.

.

From a corporate satandpoint...they've done an absolutely awful job of capitalizing on Frozen's popularity. They probably should be pretty much shutting down production of any other type of merchandise and just trying to bring as many Frozen products to market as possible. They should have a manufacturer churning out thousands of Elsa t-shirts daily. It's shocking how they are losing out on so much potential revenue.

It's because she has the cool snow powers and sings "Let it go". I love Anna's quirkiness though.

My daughter generally prefers princesses to queens, but she already adored Idina Menzel and that song is perfection. Even my princess-hating son adores Elsa and that song. Add in the perfect hair, amazing dress and power and it's no wonder Elsa beats Anna in popularity.

Just to share with you, On the release date of the Movie DVD or our Disney local store March 18th, the Dianey Store opened half hour before , arrived there at 9:15 and already was people in line waiting, like Black Friday sale or new apple item! Soon as they opened we just rush to grab Any Elsa item, by 9:45 all plush Elsa dolls have been gone, they restocked again and let you buy just 2 items of frozen. My DD 3 yrs d, loves Elsa we have the dress, Tiara, etcccc and she plays and sing all day , looking for another dress but no luck !
We were at Epcot past January and we waited patiently my DH , for 3 hrs we did the Arkeshus breakfast and did the line for Elsa and Anna greet and meeting, 3 hours sounds forever but my LO wait , behave and looking at her meeting the FroZen Princess will be in my memories forever!!!!
We hope to return soon to Disney and got those fast pass!!!!

I have one of each, my 10 yr old blond hair tall child identifies with Elsa and the "big sister" roll. My younger freckled brunette identifies with Anna. I personally have not seen the movie ( except what's children have acted out )

I'm a grown woman and when I saw Elsa let down her hair, change into that dress and sing "Let It Go", even I wanted to be her. So, I totally get the fascination with Elsa.

Me too!! I have seen the movie too many times to count now and I still get chills at that part.
