Southwest called at 545am this morning and cancelled our flight! Not to be denied we loaded the car and drove down. Checked in Okw bldg. 54 ready for the fun to begin!

Oh no! At least you made it down there. Hopefully they will credit you for that bumped flight.

Wow, I'm glad you were able to get there! Have a great vacation!

Good for you! I'm glad you didn't have to lose a day of your trip or have to cancel altogether. Enjoy!! :)

A couple of glasses of wine and dinner at rainforest cafe at DTD was a good way to end the day. Epcot tomorrow to check out the new improved test track!

Way to adapt, wow it is so rare for SW to cancel, did you have fog or something?

No. The plane was coming to Panama City from Raleigh/Durham and they had weather issues and had to cancel

I am originally from Troy - can't believe there is another Troy resident on the boards! My parents still reside in Troy, and we drive to Disney from their house sometimes - it is such an easy drive. We much prefer the drive to Disney from their house than from ours (Atlanta). Glad everything worked out for you! We will be making the drive again in 3 weeks.

We live in Raleigh and I have to tell you that the weather problems were not here. We had an absolutely gorgeous day all day, clear, sunny, not even a breeze and around 60 deg at noon. Problems must have been at an originating city before Raleigh.

Glad you live close enough to get there on your own and your trip was not canceled because of SW.

I am Philip Bassett and have lived there all my life. I probably know your parents. It's a small world after all!

My dad is the game warden for Pike County, Jerry Jinright. I wouldn't be surprised if you knew him, he seems to know everyone in Pike County! I left Troy over 20 years ago, so I don't seem to know anyone there any more. Hope your trip is great, and it's nice to chat with another Troy resident!

Yes I know Jerry and Terry well. We are all about the same age. My wife Kathy taught with your aunt Kay for many years. Good talking to you!
