Interested in renting points-how does it work??

Hi there...new to this board and feeling out my options for renting a DVC accomodation for 7/3-7/8. Since I am just becoming interested in becoming a DVC member myself, I was hoping to rent first to see if going this route agrees with us. We are accustomed to Deluxe Resorts by choice, and tend to take 2 trips a year, a week at a time or so and thought this may work for us. Especially with the discounts on dining and tickets...I'd look forward to getting a break! LOL!
If anyone has any info, points to rent, and general opinions to share, please don't be shy!!

We have some points that we are going to rent . I was told that we can make the reservations. We are new to this, as our sign-up date indicates. Our hope is to use points that are have banked. Our membership year begins in June. We have not been able to use our points over the past couple of years and next year looks bleak. We are actually going to get rid of our Vero Beach points. If you are interested in renting points and having us make a reservation, please let us know.

Thanks for responding! As you know, I have never done this before and was wondering what our options are if renting points from you. For example, do we need to go to Vero Beach or can we choose a Disney Resort? Also, how many points do you have to rent and how much per point are you looking to get?
