We've had a request for a completed page swap so I am posting this as an interest thread. Here's the proposal.

This would be a completed page swap. Each swapper would create 5 identical pages including a title, photo mat, journaling box and a decorative element in their selected theme.

We were thinking of doing two different groups broken down by size - 12 x 12 and 6 x 6 and small groups of 5 to keep things manageable.

BAMB suggested doing something like Partner 2-page layouts - like Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy, Chip & Dale, etc.

Here's my best breakdown so far. PLEASE make suggestions!

Group 1 - 2 page 12x12
1 - Pooh & Piglet
2 - Tigger & Eeyore?
(I need more ideas - I'm not really a Pooh person beyond Pooh)
3 -
4 -
5 - swappers choice

Group 2 - 2 page 12x12
1 - Mickey and Minnie
2 - Donald and Daisy
3 - Goofy and Pluto??
4 - Chip and Dale
5 - ???

Group 3 - 2 page 12x12
1 - Snow White and Prince Charming
2 - Ariel and Prince Eric
3 - Aurora and Prince Philip
4 - Cinderella and Prince Charming
5 - Belle and Beast

Group 4 - 2 page 6x6
1 - Pooh & Piglet
2 - Tigger & Eeyore?
(I need more ideas - I'm not really a Pooh person beyond Pooh)
3 -
4 -
5 - swappers choice

Group 5 - 2 page 6x6
1 - Mickey and Minnie
2 - Donald and Daisy
3 - Goofy and Pluto??
4 - Chip and Dale
5 - ???

Group 6 - 2 page 6x6
1 - Snow White and Prince Charming
2 - Ariel and Prince Eric
3 - Aurora and Prince Philip
4 - Cinderella and Prince Charming
5 - Belle and Beast

The smaller pages are good for autograph books and such.

So, what do y'all think? Anyone interested?

love the idea of the princess group. How far from a sign up would the due date be? If a person had plenty of time they could budget this. I also like that the grouping is only 5 instead of 10. it makes it alot more manageable.

I think we were shooting for a Spring sign up/completion. Something like mid-February? Honestly, it's not been decided yet.

For the pooh groups, Kanga and Roo, Rabbit and Christopher Robin are other possibles.

I won't be signing up because I have way too much Disney stuff for pages already  plus cost, but I like the idea of small groups and different sizes:thumbsup2

On the 6 by 6 pages you really don't necessarily have room for a good picture and an autograph with anything else unless you are putting the tag in a pocket- you could probably do a 2 page spread with 1 character.

With the fab 5 characters others you can generally find without much effort would be Lilo and Stich or Buzz and Woody. At least at WDW they are generally found in at least 1 published place in each park.

In the princesses I know the easiest pair to find is Jasmine and Alladin so you might want to list all the choices and let people choose 5 of the 6.

Just my thoughts- With the Pooh characters at 12 by 12 there are very few other characters than the 4 listed that you can meet- maybe combining them with the Playhouse Disney characters for the other spots as a full page spread of Rabbit and Owl would be hard to use.

Just some thoughts.

And don't forget. Just because they are themed with the characters does NOT mean you have to only use them for photos you took at Disney.

I have some photos of my boys reading to each other that would look really cute on a page with Kanga & Roo.

Or you could use them for photos that you took in the Lands that they character's have rides or can be found in.

I like the group of 5 with a 2 page layout. I still have a few more swaps I can sign up for ;)

I like groups of 5 - no larger than 6. of 2 page layouts also. This would be a great way to use up stash. I would rather do groups than page exchange to make postage more economical. I do think there needs to be more than 1 photo mat on a 2 page lay out. There could be several in differnet sizes with at least one that is 4 by 6.

I love the idea.

I like the small groups and the 2 page layouts. In the Pooh group, you could also group the same characters different ways, like Pooh and Piglet and Pooh and Tigger. Or, with the Fab 5, you could have Mickey and Minnie, and Mickey and Goofy, or Mickey and Donald. I know I have pictures of my son with the main characters multiple times. I know I'd use pages with characters that you don't find in the parks (Owl, Rabbit, Kanga, etc.) for other things as well.

Or, you could have a group for specific park characters. Like an Animal Kingdom one with Baloo and King Louie, Safari Mickey and Minnie, etc.

When I do layouts for people, I try to have 4 mats 4X6 and 1 journal box. There is room on the page for several small embellies, and 1 or 2 large ones, like a paper piecing or a tag. I've started to make the journal boxes with the writing box removable. So any boo-boos and the box can be replaced. Just my ideas. It would be fun to have some pages pre-finished. Smaller groups are great. Love the partners ideas...Mickey goes with Pluto at my house (and on the cricut cart...hehehe)

I wanna sign up nooowwwwwwww.....

i agree with the 2 page layout but multiple characters -- great idea --
we could do
mickey/minnie
pluto/goofy
donald/daisy

im up for whatever -- just cant wait to get started and use up my supplies -- i bought alittle to much disney stuff :rotfl:

You're allowed to spend because you're not on the BAN wagon;)

lol -- no im not on the ban wagon -- i should be -- lol but being a consultant u always have to buy the new stuff -- lol -- :lmao:

besides we went on our trip in nov and i started stocking up on stuff and went wayyyyy overboards - i have a ton of paper, stickers, ribbon -- plus my dh bought me the mickey and friends cricut cart and i need to put it to use -- lol -- im just sooo excited about this swap and cant wait to get started on it!!

i forgot to put my 2 cents in on the pooh group -- why don't we just mix it up -- like
round 1 - pooh
round 2 - pooh/tigger
round 3 - piglet/eeyore
round 4 - eeyore/tigger
round 5 - piglet

certaintly we all have a ton of pics from crystal palace and pooh characters! also like another poster mentioned these pages don't have to be of just disney photos they can be of costumes, reading a book, toys -- etc... just my thoughts

I would definitely be interested in joining in, all the groups sound good. I have never seen Rabbit hopefully we will see him in April!

When you go into Mickey's Toon Town.. WE got in the line for the Pooh & Friends group and saw Rabbit in 2004.. It was great.. He was very interactive with my than 3 yo...

Here are the type of pages we made for a Stampin'Up Club. It got to be such a hassel coming up with generic pages that everyone could use, I was really glad to not sign up again. The single pages with elements were my way of making a complete page that could be versatile for everyone. The double sided ones were so you could fill an album without being bulky. Hated to waste the back side of the paper. The pirate one took FOREVER to make as I colored that in by hand and then went over it with the water marker. But that is the kind I am invisioning making for this swap.

Your list looks fab, BAMB. Thanks for putting it together. I'm having to do some actual work today rather than playing online so I couldn't quite get to it.

Anyway, the breakdowns look good. On the princesses, I think I'll take someone's suggestion and add a Jasmine/Aladdin and the swappers in that group can choose. Do we also want Mulan/Mushu to be an option? DH suggested the princesses and their sidekicks like Cindy and the mice, Snow White and Dwarves, etc. It really is up to y'all because I don't need any Princess pages at the moment - :(

Do we also want groups for other best buds? Suggestions were Woody/Buzz and Lilo/Stitch. There could also be a Mary Poppins/Bert, maybe a Woody/Jessie, Peter Pan/Wendy, Alice/Mad Hatter. Maybe a Misc. character group?

There have been some questions about the completion timeline - how long between sign-ups and due date. I was thinking 2 months. What did y'all think about that? Also, when do y'all want sign-ups? Some would like sooner than later but I don't want to stress anyone in the character swaps who would like to do this one as well.

ETA: How about a multi-character 12x12 page group? Something for those that only have enough pics of all the princesses, fab 5, villians, etc. to fit on one page? Like this:

1. Pooh and Friends
2. Fab 5
3. Princesses
4. Villians
5. ??

LMK!
