Interconnecting Rooms

Another question! Do all of the hotels offer interconnecting rooms for families of 5? I'm really keen on DLH and as they have family rooms to accommodate 5 this wouldn't be a problem. However, the family like the look of some of the other themed hotels better :confused3??!!! I'm worried that if we end up staying at one of the other hotels and our rooms are not interconnecting, then potentially my husband and son could end up at one end of the hotel with me and my daughters at the other end!

Can anyone share their experiences of having 2 rooms? I assume I would need to book by phone to arrange this?

All the hotels have interconnecting rooms, but when you book they always say that it's not guaranteed.

Just book as normal either online or by phone. I normally call the hotel, about 5 days before our arrival date to request this again. This is when your booking goes onto the hotel booking system. Again you will be told that it's not guaranteed, but we've always got them when we've asked.

Oh brilliant, thank you for that. It would probably work out better for us if we did have two rooms, at least that way my husband and I wouldn't have to creep around trying not to wake the kids :lmao:

If you want to book online (I prefer to do this so that I can get some money back from Quidco) there is the facility to link the first booking reference number when you do the second booking (each room has to be booked separately). I did this then sent an email a few days before we arrived requesting connecting rooms or ones very close to each other (as my DDs are older I wasn't worried if we weren't next door, just didn't want to be on another floor the other side of the hotel). Like Ms Poppins I got the standard reply to say they'd noted our request but it's not guaranteed, but when we checked in we had connecting rooms. The only negative to booking online is that you'll have to pay two booking fees but if you go through a cashback site this should more than wipe that out.

To be honest, two rooms at one of the other hotels will be considerably cheaper than a family room at the DLH, you'll get two bathrooms (invaluable with teenagers :rotfl2: ) and if you put younger ones to bed before you then like you said you won't have to creep around.

We had ajoining rooms in SL in 2010, it was great we put both teenagers in it and then had peace! it was heaven.

In a morning though it helped as then we were able to encourage them to be up and ready for breakfast.
