When we went in 2006 the cool thing was to have an interactive Mickey which received signals through the park. I can't remember what he was called. Does he still work in the parks?

Hey! Yeah this was called Pal Mickey and was an interactive toy that would receive signals from various locations around the resort and then "speak" to you on his own. He also had games and jokes that he was capable of doing.

I do believe that he still works in the parks but I think I remember reading that Disney was eliminating the program (Even though I was promised when I bought it that it would be usable in the park for "many" years).

Nothing has been announced about "eliminating the program."

They only announced that they would stop making and selling new Pals.

Pals can no longer be found on the shelves at WDW shops.

Pal Mickey still works in the parks and, as far as anyone knows, will continue until further notice.
