We have our very first character meal booked at CP on our first day at Disney and we're so excited.

Just a few questions if anyone could answer I would really appreciate it!

1. How many times do the characters come to your table?

2. Will they stay and "chat" for a few seconds after your pic and autograph?

3. If there are 3 people in your group can you have separate photos or do they have to be a group pic? (I guess this applies to the parks as well)

4. What happens if one of your party is at the buffet when a character stops and you miss them? Will they come back?

Thanks so much for your help. I can't begin to tell you how excited DS is about this. Pooh and the hundred acre wood gang are his absolute favorites. ok, I admit it ;) mine too!

A few weeks ago we had an 8:20pm seating at Crystal Palace. It was really crowded when we arrive but the restaurant started clearing out about 15 minutes into our time.

The waitress gave us the heads-up when the characters were making their way over to us and told us we should wait at our table before going for food. You really just have to watch for them once you get a feel for how they are circulating the room. If they are coming near your table come back from the buffet. They are easy to spot in the crowd!

Pooh & Friends came by our table one at a time during the course of our dinner. Each character came by 3-4 times. They signed autographs and took pics. They don't stay long but long enough to snap a few pics and interact with your group.

I would suggest dining during off times when the crowds thin to get the most character interaction.

My three year daughter loves pooh and she got to see him twice. We went just before lunch (11:45) and slightly before the peak crowds come in. Try to get in off peak. The layout of the place is huge, and I'm amazed how the characters can move around in some order.

By the way, it's usually one character at a time at your table instead of all four together. I think you'll be able to see the characters approaching your table giving you ample time to get your party away from the buffet table.:D

We just got back from a wonderful time at the Crystal Palace! We celebrated my DD's 2nd birthday and everything was great! The parks were not crowded, but the restaurant was pretty full. Character interaction great! They come around 1 at a time and you will definatley see them coming to your table. Eeyore and Tigger came by twice and Pooh and Piglet came around once. The restaurant is divided into 2 sides and it seemed that there were 2 characters on each side almost all of the time. I only saw them disappear for about 5 minutes at a time and then they were back. You will have a great time, espcially if your little one loves Pooh and Friends as much as my dd does!! Our PS was for dinner at 5:40pm and we had a very attentive waiter. Have fun!! We cannot wait to take DD back in December!

We were at CP for dinner in August - the character interaction was great - except for Eeyore - he seemed in a hurry and seemed cranky that my DD who is 14 wanted a picture and an autograph - but he seemed to be taking lots of time with younger kids - this was the first time in many many character meals that we felt rushed by a character. It was all made better by the fact that Tigger "proposed" down on one knee and everything to my DD and Pooh, who pouted when he saw my DD's Eeyore stuffed animal came and sat with me when I told him he was my favorite :teeth:

Tigger came by several more times and each time, he would pat his heart when looking at my DD - she is still talking about it!

We had a great time at this meal and the food was yummy too!! Now if my future son-in-law can just get me discounted park tickets :teeth:
