I remember that COVID covered insurance was required for sailing if unvaccinated. Is this still required if sailing with an unvaccinated under 5yo?

Its not what you are asking, but I wouldn't go on an expensive cruise without insurance, period.

(I was the parent who took a child who was barely recovered from a nasty bug to Hawaii. We didn't have insurance and were looking at eating several thousand dollars. It was a bad choice, but we didn't have any insurance or refundable tickets. Thankfully he was better the day after we arrived and I hope we didn't give it to everyone. Like I said, we made a bad choice and now always get insurance.)

I believe the "required" wording has been removed. As I recall coverage was only required for non-vaccinated adults (maybe 16+) and not for children. However once the vaccine requirement came into effect that essentially removed the population who had been required to carry coverage.

Travel insurance with Covid coverage is still highly recommended for all passengers.
