insurance still not removed?

When I booked, they included the travel insurance, so I called and was told it was removed. I have since received a second confirmation email that still shows the insurance. And when I pull up my ressie on the WDW website, it too shows travel insurance. Should I just be patient or call back again??? I know they have been swamped and it took a long time for me to get my confirmation in the first place. Anyone else have this happen? :confused3

As far as the email confirmations go, I never received one for my original reservation. I called and changed it, removing dining & 3 days of our tickets.

Then, I get the email -- and it's all the original (wrong) stuff.

But, when I check online, it shows the right package and price.

If you get emails, I can see that they are "late" and may be wrong. But if you go online & type in your reservation number and still get the wrong information, I would call again. If it's in their system, it should be changed online, too.

I have the same problem. I can see "insurance selected" in my reservation, but when I call to have it removed I am told there is no insurance so of course they cannot remove it if they don't see it.

When I calculate the price the insurance is there. I figure I will call in the morning and try again to have it removed.

I checked this morning and it still shows the insurance online, and the price reflects insurance included as well. Are they open on Sundays?? I'll check the website to confirm, if not I'll call tomorrow and let you all know what happens. Thanks!:thumbsup2

I called this morning (they are open) and asked to have the insurance removed. Again I was told I didn't have any insurance.

I explained that I don't think it shows to them...but it is reflected in the price. So she put me on hold and within 2 minutes was able to have the insurance removed.

OK, just got off with another CM who said it was still on there, and that he definitely removed it this time. I'll let you all know when I get the new invoice.:goodvibes

Good. Hopefully it will be gone. They seem to have a difficult time seeing it on their screen. Glad you had a helpful cast member.

I don't like the way they add insurance automatically to packages UNLESS you decline it. It should be the other way around! This has happened to me twice already. The first time, the CM said it was added when I modified a reservation for something else. He did take it off but at first he was saying 'insurance is never refundable'.

The next time, I was booking online myself and went through to the payment page quickly, not realizing insurance would automatically be added. When I went to cancel this reservation one hour later, the CM assured me I would not be charged for insurance. When I got my refund, I was charged for it. I had to call again, and another CM had to 'fill out a form' to get that money returned to me.

I think it is sneaky the way they automatically add on insurance and they should revise the way they offer insurance.

I had forgotten they do that since I have never booked myself, so I was surprised that the CM never mentioned it while I was booking. And of course I was way too excited about the deal to think about trivial things like insurance!:lmao:
